Pediatricians in Massapequa
I am due with my first baby in February and want to start looking into pediatricians. I would like someone nearby to where I live. Can you suggest who you use if you see someone in the Massapequa area? Also, what kinds of questions should I ask my first visit to see if I like them? Thanks!

I use Seaford pediatrics and love them. They don't do interviews but you can pick up an information sheet in their office.

I am with the other ladies & Also use Seaford Pediatrics. The only thing some don't like is it is a large pracetice with about 5 drs. Everytime I go I see a different person. They do all seem to know whats going on. I also liked that they worked with winthrop. I wanted to make sure the pediatrician could see my twins in the hospital.

i also use Seaford Pediatrics and have been very happy with them. I was unhappy with one of the doctors there but she is no longer there. If you want to see a specific doctor then you can ask for their schedule when making an appointment. Since I always schedule my check-ups for the evening I tend to always see Dr. Meckes. I really like him and he always answers all of my questions honestly.

Re: Pediatricians in Massapequa
I agree with the other posters.....Seaford Peds. I really like them. I've seen a number of the MD's there and they are all great. My personal fav is Dr. Wren but all of them really know their stuff. I never ever feel rushed out the door, yet the wait is never really long. I also like that they don't like to immediately push meds for things. When DS was having a lot of issues with gas, they didn't immedately tell me to use mylecon or other "medicines". They had me try a more natrual course of things like chamomile tea first. Of course, if it comes down to it, they will advise on meds. But being I'm not big into pushing meds for every little thing, I really like this about them. Also, I love that you can sign DC in and then leave your cell # and wait in the car if the waiting room is busy and full of sick kids. They'll call you when they're ready to put you in a room. I had to bring DS in for a sick visit but it was later in the afternoon. There were a bunch of older sick kids in the waiting room. The receptionist actually told me to just put my cell down and wait in the car so I didn't risk getting DS sick.
