Yes, but I don't see you offering them HERE and rubbing it in the noses of the women you have a camaraderie with who you KNOW are looking for tickets for their disappointed kids. I do not begrudge anyone selling them on stubhub/craigslist/ebay to get that down payment on college, but don't do it here. You know that expression, don't sh!t where you eat? If it was say a $40 ticket for $50 or even $60 because of supply/demand, fine, forgivable, but almost a 1000% markup is obnoxious

The OP has 143 posts. I don't think she feels any sense of obligation due to "camaraderie". Chat Icon It's just business.

True, but I reserve my right to think she's rude and obnoxious Chat Icon

nothing says camaraderie like callings someone rude and obnoxious. and like you said, the OP knew people on here were looking for them, so why not post it?

I'll be sure to remember that when you may be in need of something someday Chat Icon Chat Icon

This is a long island forum where some are paying five figure property taxes. I'm sure there are tons of people on li who would buy tic at that price for their toddlers without batting an eyelash.

What is the normal protocol on this board when someone does in fact need advice or support? Do we first run a quick username search to see if the content of their posts is approved by the LIF Thought Police? Chat Icon

by the way you said that your daughter wants to go. Why on earth would you disappoint her by selling the tickets.

To me that is the worst thing...

if i had tickets and my dd wasnt old enough to know we had them and people ARE willing to pay $400 plus per ticket....i would sell them too and put the money towards something better for her.

would i advertise on here...sure. maybe none of you who are bashing this person want them but maybe someone on here wants them or knows some one who does. whats the harm in asking.

who really cares. this reminds me of the post on the person selling a coupon. if you dont like it...read it and move on with your day. no need to bully this person for asking a question.

I just have to Chat Icon Chat Icon - its the FBB, a group of adults who sing and dance silly for 2 year olds and annoy most adults.

I said it on the other thread and I will say it here anyone that pays $1,000 for tickets to see the FBB to watch them perform THE SAME FUCKKING SONGS they perform on tv 7 TIMES a day is a moron.

However, if someone wants to try to sell them at that price - to each their own.

Because they are sold out so people want what they want when they want it no matter the price. . . its a very very good indicator of where our society is headed and why our children are turning into spoiled brats. . . (not because of going to the show but because of how ridiculous people get over hot ticket items)

gabbie, sell the tickets for market value and then donate half the proceeds to charity. you are still making a buck AND you can do something nice for someone ELSE too. Chat Icon

Agree 1000%. It's ridiculous that parents would actually shell out that amount of $$ for a freakin concert for their 3 year old. Unless you are part of the Bloomberg clan I just don't understand how you can shell out $1k+ for tickets to a kids concert. No wonder this country is in such bad shape financially.

I got tickets at face value to take DD but no way in any world would I pay $1000+ to see 4 overgrown teenagers sing songs. Sorry but I think it's crazy. I won't sell mine because DD knows shes going and she is super excited (and that to me is priceless).

For anyone with a very dissapointed dc there are still very reasonable tix to the Hershey performances. I bought them from ticketmaster for $26 each and we're staying overnight and doing the chocolate factory the next day. I believe they are on stubhub type sites now for around $60.

If you want to save money for your child's future, don't buy the tickets in the first place.

My girls like the show but I'd be out of my mind to spend over $1000 dollars on 4 freakin tickets.

Harsh. Guess my family would never leave the house since basically everything costs money and we haven't finished saving for the future!

DS is a huge fan and I had a hard time justifying paying face value to get them when they went on sale - I wish I had bought them now!

So what are you telling your daughter?

Depending on how old her DD is, she might not have to say a word! I would say a kid under 3 would be easily appeased. You could probably just say it's in "a couple months" if they asked now, and chances are they'd totally forget about it down the line and drop the subject.

Now, an older kid, like 5-6 years old, would hold you to it and would definitely remember you had the tix. That would be tougher.

Truthfully, this mad rush across America to buy tickets for hundreds of dollars for fear of "disappointing" a kid speaks volumes about the way we're raising our kids today and the values we're instilling in them. An occasional disappointment is not going to kill a kid. I'm not saying their life has to be bleak and miserable like something out of a Dickens novel either... just that we don't have to cater to EVERY whim of a toddler. No 2 year old is going to wind up in therapy because their parents denied them a Fresh Beat Band concert Chat Icon

I decided to sell our Fresh Beat Band tickets to put the money away for DD.

We have 3 tickets for the Westbury show on March 24 at 4pm. I listed them on stubhub for 400 each. We really want 1000 total to make it worth it for not taking DD but StubHUB takes a commission. So if any of you are interested or know someone interested, just FM me.

Is there an extra zero in here? You want $400 for a $40 ticket to FBB from other mommies on a website where we are supposed to help and support each other? Seriously?

Sorry, but in light of all the disappointed moms and kids that couldn't get tickets because it sold out so fast, I think this is rude and obnoxious.

Take it to Stubhub where you can really get over on someone and then not have to rely on them to give you good advice in the future. Chat Icon

So don't buy them, what's the issue? I'm selling mine for more then she s asking. Support each other, is harsh considering they are just concert tickets.

Just concert tickets that tons of moms on here were looking for. I don't think they want to get the lube in order to get them. It was TACKY.

You sound worse than the kids whining that they're not going. and it's def not TACKY to reference lube in a commmentChat Icon

I got our tickets, i could give a rats asss. Is that better than lube?Chat Icon
