My baby broke his collarbone yesterday
He fell and was complaining his neck hurt, but pointing at his collarbone. I took him to urgent care and it is broken. We follow up with an orthopedist today. His pain is controlled with motrin for about 4 hours, but then he starts to have pain again. It is the worst when he wakes up. My poor baby. It's Ronan by the way. (seems to be the more accident prone one!)

i hope he gets better very quickly, and hope you're doing ok. injuries are super tough on moms.

I am so sorry! So it's broken, not fractured? I fractured mine years ago as a kid and did not even know it. Not even sure how I did it but they found it on an xray for something else years later.
Do they just let it heal on it's own? for a quick recovery

Just a sling It is broken. I'll know more after the ortho appointment.

My Godson broke his collarbone when he fell between the toilet and sink (he was standing on the toilet). He healed pretty quickly, but about a year later he broke it again on a fall. It's a shame that there's not much they can actually do for it, but hopefully his pain should go away soon!

UGH my nephew was born with a broken collarbone...broke coming out of my sister! Felt so terrible for him. Hope your son feels better real fast!!!
