First trike...
My twins are turning one in a few weeks, and we want to get them their first trikes as their big gifts. I am looking at the Little Tikes 3-in-1 and Smart Trike 3-in-1. It seems like the Smart Trike has better reviews, but I have always seen the Little Tikes one. Does anyone have either of these? Do you like it?
Thanks!

Re: First trike...
I don't have either one but, we have the radio flyer one. I will say that I wish I got one with the handle that you can push. Liam's doesn't have that and I hate pushing him because I have to bend to far over and he likes to play on that thing forever. So IMO go for one that has the long handle until DC learn to peddle.

Re: First trike...
We have the Smart Trike 3 in 1, and Carlie loves it! She got it for her 1 year b day too!!!
What a great gift!
Just a pc of advice, I got Carlie a helmet too, it might seem kind of silly b/c she is strapped in and I am pushing, But I wanted her to understand and get the feeling of wearing the helmet anytime she was on the bike... She took a day or so to get used to it but now she wears it every time she rides (I push her) on her bike...
Good Luck!

We have the smart trike too ( red and black), and Ds who is 13 months loves it. We use it all the time, we even go food/Target shopping with it.

Re: First trike...
We just went to TRU this past weekend & ordered the Smart Trike 3-in-1 orange/yellow trike for our son who will be 1 on Sunday. To us, it felt the sturdiest.

Re: First trike...
Our parents got us the Deluxe 3-in-1 Smart Trike
Its nice and comfy, fun to sit in, has room in basket for a ball, and has a little bag you can hang from it for a dipaer and whipe case and a bottle of water or two.
DS loves it.
I honestly wish sometimes he didn't love it sooo much. Its a pain to steer. I don't know if they make this any easier, but I didn't understand why it was so difficult to steer, but it looks like DS is competing with me to steer, and he's strong so its really messes up the steering and makes me nervous when we are crossing the street. I didn't see away to turn off his ability to steer.
Other than that I can't find anything wrong with it.
Did I tell you, he LOOOOVES it?
eta: the helmet thing is brilliant! I didn't even think of it - I'm going to get him one too!

Re: First trike...
We got DD the Smart Trike as well. She took her first spin in it 2 weeks ago. She doesn't understand yet that she has to put her feet on either the bar or the petals. She keeps putting her feet on to the ground like she was riding one of her ride on toys in the house. That can be a PITA when you're trying to push her
