Which is better for DD's 1st birthday..Smart Trike or Push Buggy?
Leaning towards Smart Trike b/c it will get more use once she can ride it herself.
Buggy is adorable but looks like it would get boring fast once she can do things herself right?

Smart Trike
We have both, but DS likes to try and touch the ground in the buggy bc hes so close to it. He LOVES his smart trike and so does my back!

we actually have 2 smart trikes, one at each grandparents houses (since we don't have room in our apt). They love them because they see him growing with it. DS loves it too.
But I do seem him eying the car buggies at the playground, he really likes the look of them and chants "cahr! cahr!", but if I remind him about his "bike" he gets over it.

I vote for the buggy. DS got it for his 1st bday in October and he loves it. He loved at age 1 but now at 1.5, he absolutely adores it!!! We have to pry him off of it. We keep the buggy on our porch and as soon as we walk out the front door he climbs on it. I enjoy pushing the buggy way more than the stroller. Plus, you can take the buggy to parks, summer festivals, etc and use it instead of a stroller.
I cannot stress enough how much he enjoys the buggy.
ETA: For the SmartTrike also keep in mind your child's weight. We were going to purchase one this weekend but didn't bc the weight limit is only 38lbs. Our DS is 32 lbs at 19 months so he wouldn't get much use out of it.

No experience with the Smart Trike, but we have a push buggy (got if for 1st b-day) and DD loved it...she still could use it last year when she was 3. Will be using it for her little sister too.
The Smart Trike looks pretty versatile too though.

Tough one... we have both.
The push buggy:
she loves the steering wheel, horn, the little compartment in the front to store her acorns and things she finds. It's a very quiet and smooth ride.
The smart trike:
she asks to ride in this more often than the buggy. It's very easy to stear and it turns without having to lift it off the ground like the push buggy. She still can't fully reach the pedals at 21.5 months but I like that once she can it will last her a long time.
If I had to choose one i'd go with the smart trike, just b/c she will be able to ride it on her own once she gets older.

oh you are throwing a whole new option at me 
i was thinking the push buggy would be better for a 1 year old than the cozy coupe b/c i could push her in the buggy. she can't ride the coupe herself yet and looks like it would be annoying for me to push her in that.

wait on the cozy coupe- while there is a handle and foot board it is hard to push -does not go very straight
i don't have a trike but my son is 20 months and adores the car - we have to take it everywhere now because he prefers it to any stroller - he can get in and out himself which he likes
but if you get it spend the extra money for the quiet car because my only pet peeve is how loud it is - it is hard to hear cars as we walk around the neighborhood

Same here - except DS is 17 months. HE LOVES his buggy.

Ditto. That push buggy is by far the most used toy we have. At 3.5, DS still tries to get in it but we use it for his 1yr old sister now.
DS got a trike (radio flyer, not this one) for his 2nd birthday and I felt that was a better age for it.

Ok I LOVED the buggy for DD but I think she is too big for it already we used it a ton last summer btw 7-9/10 months.
We bought the smart trike in your pic for her 1st bday - I'm not a fan - I think its pretty crummy quality - DD does like it though. There is another brand that I saw someone pushing around last week - dont know what it was maybe radioflyer? but it looks like better quality - I would check into different brands of the trike

my godson has the smart trike and loves it! (15 months)
a few weeks ago, we were with them and DS just crawled right up to it and made us put him on it and was the happiest (and cutest) kid ever! (8 months)
so i am clearly voting smart trike =)

Wow thanks all for the responses...
Seems pretty split down the middle.
I didn't even know there is a whisper push buggy - glad to know about that.
I'm now thinking maybe she needs both - LOL! Will go to Toys R Us and check them out in person to decide.
