Re: feeling the baby
I did feel the baby for the first time yesterday. Everyone says it's like butterflies in your tummy but for me it felt more like a fish flip-flopping inside. I haven't felt anything today
ETA: I'm 18 weeks and a couple of days.

Re: feeling the baby
i felt flutters around 14 weeks but then didnt feel them again til around 18 weeks. i didnt feel real consistent and obvious movement until about 20 weeks. i found out a few days before i delivered that i had an anterior placenta, which i thought would mean that i wouldnt feel the baby much, but i still felt A LOT of movement and kicks in areas other than where the placenta was.

Re: feeling the baby
ok, then next q is if it is ok not to have many symptoms at 13 weeks? my stomach is a little crampy and heavy, but nothing besides it. I have not seen baby for over a week and i am going nuts my OB wants to see once in month, and this is crazy compared to weekly u/s I had with RE

Re: feeling the baby
it took me a little while to first feel the baby, and then to have somewhat consistent movements and even longer for DH to feel her move.
I have an anterior placenta and it definitely got in the way for me in terms of feeling movements. And actually still does. Ive had a few non-stress tests and you can hear the baby moving, but I feel nothing of it.
I can't remember exactly when I started feeling her move... but it was def somewhere in the 20 weeks... maybe 25 weeks I'd say. DH didn't feel until about 30 weeks. And even still.. he's only felt her move a handful of times with the bulk of him being able to feel around now (35 weeks).

I really only felt nausea in the beginning. And around the 13 week mark the nausea started subsiding and migraines came in place of it for a few weeks. Once migraines left, I got bad round ligament pain. once that left I had movement issues. Then later on GD. So I had more "issues" to remind me I was pregnant instead of symptoms.
I didn't have sore boobs. threw up MAYBE twice in total.
I had slight cramping. but relatively not many symptoms. oh and I sneeze every single day since my BFP!!
So I'd say YES it's OK!! But i know exactly how you are feeling because I was the same way. The once a month was hard to deal with, especially coming from once a week. I did buy a heart monitor to ease my nerves... and that did help.
Once you start feeling the baby moving though... you will start feeling better about things. In the meantime... I'm a fan of the heart monitor (the nurses in L&D are not fans because they prefer if you think something is wrong that you go to them for actual monitoring - but I wasn't using the monitor for this purpose... I was just using it to ease my nerves since I was a bit paranoid, if I thought something was wrong, I'd go see them).

Re: feeling the baby
I felt flutters a little after 18 weeks, after eating the richest, most delicious chocolate cake ever. I learned early that Baby responds well to chocolate! It felt kind of like a muscle twitch - did you ever have a twitch on your eyelid, where it feels like it's jumping? That's what it felt like way down low in my belly.
As for symptoms - I had NONE except for exhaustion in the first tri. I had only one week where I constantly felt hungover, but it wasn't terrible. No nausea, I never threw up, my boobs were sore but not even as sore as when I have PMS. I remember asking my RE about it and she laughed and said, "Just wait!" Then at 14 or 15 weeks, the tiredness went away, and I was left feeling fine. At 28 weeks, I still pretty much do, to be honest. I'm a little achy from my extra weight, but it's not bad. Don't worry about a lack of symptoms - if your OB says you and baby are fine, you and baby are fine!

yes its normal. my symptoms started around 7w and subsided around 15w. the second tri was amazing. enjoy it cause you start getting uncomfy in the third tri.
and yes seeing a normal OB after an RE like dr. B def sucks. but you get used to it.
