let the morning sickness begin!
Well the past few days I have been feeling very nauseous in the am, afternoon, and pm. yup ALL DAY!! well this morning it started with nausea and I ended up getting sick. As much as I hate this feeling I love it at the same time because it means there is a baby cookin in there! It's so bittersweet.. How did you deal with morning sickness and how long did it last???

Re: let the morning sickness begin!
I was very sick from 4w to 6w ( puking a few times a day) I was extremely sick from 6w to 11w( couldn't keep anything down). My ob gave me zofran and that made it more like how I felt between 4&6. By 11 w I stopped taking the meds and was just a little sick. Magically at 12w it was like it never happened.
Good luck

This is exactly how I feel. While I walk around gagging and throwing up all day, it lets me know that everything is doing what it's supposed to! Hang in there. I just hit 11 weeks and i'm getting *some* relief.

Re: let the morning sickness begin!
#1 8-14 weeks - threw up twice - not too bad #2 7-14 weeks - threw up 1-2 times a DAY #3 6-14 weeks - threw up every other day (some weeks were worse than others)
Each time, it was like a switch at 14 weeks - I went from sick to starving
This last time I found watermelon. It wasn't in season, so I paid an arm and a leg, but it was really my go to.

Re: let the morning sickness begin!
I puked a lot, and never found anything to deal with it. I am now 19 !/2 weeks and still puke in the morning, only when I wake up early. I never took meds b/c I'm not a med person normally so I didn't want to take them while pregnant, KWIM.

Re: let the morning sickness begin!
i never threw up but would get nausaeas from time to time duirng the first tri. What I found to work were the usual things (ginger ale, saltines/crackers etc.)
Also, try not letting yourself get too hungry or too full. Either extreme would make me queasy. I would have snacks in my car and work to make sure I could alwasy have a bite, sometimes only a couple crackers, to not feel hungry.

Re: let the morning sickness begin!
mine lasted longer than average...I was throwing up everyday until like 16 weeks...and then once a week or so for a couple weeks. I'm soooo happy it's gone now. That was the worst!
Sour things helped me...so did watermelon...cold things like italian ices...carbs helped a lot.
never having an empty stomach.
I hope yours doesnt last long!

Re: let the morning sickness begin!
I always felt "Car sick" for about 8 weeks. It was horrible, all I wanted to do was throw up to feel better. It's so bizarre, but If I had a stick of string cheese and some ginger ale I felt wonderful. I think for me personally, I would get sick if I went too long without eating.
I hope you find relief soon!

Re: let the morning sickness begin!
Its weird because 1 second i'm fine then all of a sudden...bleh... its more of dry heaves because nothing comes up. TMI sorry. My belly is empty when I wake up. I'm starving but know if I eat everything is coming up. I only get sick for less than a minute then i'm fine. It's weird.

This was exactly me. I ate more bagels and pasta than you could imagine, simply because they were the only things that I could eat. Also, make sure you're drinking enough water. Dehydration can make you feel even sicker. If I felt like I was dehydrated I would add some gatorade to the water and that really helped.

Re: let the morning sickness begin!
I still throw up every morning. Started at 8w. But I was nauseous until the afternoon during my first tri. Now it's part of my morning routine.
