16 week appt
I dont have my 16 week appt until June 1st but I was just wondering if most girls had a sono done at that appt?
For some reason Im thinking my doc isnt going to do one and Im gonna have to wait till my 20 week appt to see the lil baby bean again

my dr doesn't do 16 week sono.
I had one only because i switched dr's and my 16 week appt was the first one with the new dr so he wanted to see the baby.

i know i will be having one at my 16w (almost 17w) appt. only because the sono tech said to let her know when the appt was so she can come in for a gender check.

They just did one at my '12 week' appt (which was actually 13) so they won't do one when I go back for blood work which will be week 16.

i was supposed to, and then not supposed to (sono tech left the practice). when i got there last week i was surprised - new sono tech, so i wound up having one.
they can do the testing without a sono though.

No, I didn't have one. Sonos are typically done at about 9 weeks (to confirm), 12 weeks (NT scan), and 20 weeks (anatomy scan). Anything other than that, except for maybe a growth sono in the third tri, is typically considered extra.

I didnt think so but ive heard of so many girls finding out gender at 16 weeks so i wasnt sure what the norm was.

nope didnt have a 16w sono. had to wait until week 20. and now from week 20, i have to wait until 32w which is may 31st!! CANT WAIT!

our 16 week apt, was just a weigh in, blood pressure, might of been some sorta blood work, and heartbeat, no sono.

I just had mine last night and no, I did not have a sono, unfortunatley. The dr did use the doppler and did a breast exam, pap and other cultures. Our next sono will be the anatomy scan and level II at 20 weeks.

Not at my regular 16 week appointment.
My Dr. is having me go for a modified sequential screen (to rule out genetic markers), which I will have at 17w1d....
