Re: what pre-natals???
I can't help as far as price b/c my aunt works at my ob/gyn office so I get all my pre-natals for free but I'm on Citra Natal Assure. It's 2 pills - one is the prenatal and the other is a DHA supp. I take both of them together at night before I go to bed. I've had no problems with them at all. I think there's even a stool softener in it as well, but so far, I've been lucky in that area and haven't had any issues.
Each pack comes with a coupon that says you can save up to $100 - $10 on each of your next 10 Rxs. I have a ton of these coupons and I don't need them. You're more than welcome to them if it helps. Let me know!

Re: what pre-natals???
Thanks ladies -- it just kills me to go from $10 for a 3 month supply to $70 when it's the same vitamin. Maybe I'll ask my Dr. for samples and try something new

Re: what pre-natals???
I take PNV DHA and its $20 for 90 days on Cigna... I was on Citra Natal but they are very expensive and I didnt want to pay that after all my samples ran out. I called my insurance company and asked what was about $10 a month that I could take and comparable to Citra Natal. Then I called my dr. and they said these were fine. They dont make me sick, are a gel capsule, and its only 1 pill. HTH!!!

I'm on the generic prenate with DHA also. I have never had a problem. and I also have empire. If I get them filled 1 at a time they are $5 each. If I get them filled 3 at a time it's $10 for all 3.

I take Citra Natal Assure. I pay $3 a month with Anthem BCBS. It was $13 a month but I got a $10/month discount card with the bag of samples my dr gave me at my first appointment.

I used to take OB-Natal 1 until a fugus started growing on them so my doctor changed me to Prenate Essential.
I went from paying $10 every month with the OB-Natal's to paying $60 every month with these Prenate ones.
ETA: I have Aetna insurance.

I take NeeVoDHA. It's a $5 co-pay (we have GHI) I love it because it's one big gel cap instead of 2 big chalky pills I was taking before I was pregnant

Re: what pre-natals???
Yeah, dont get hung up on the "same" prenatal. Just make sure it has the right ingredients in it and they are all high enough (iron, vit D etc...). Ask for samples from your Dr. I def would not pay 70 bucks.

Re: what pre-natals???
I've been taking Gesticare DHA. They aren't cheap though!! I pay $80 for a 3 month supply, I think. Although, I have tried a few different ones and this seems to be the best one that I can tolerate since it doesn't give me any stomach issues, etc.

any OTC. I've used target brand, one-a-day, even gummy. That's all I used with DS1, too.

I started on Prenate DHA and like them but still the were $60 for a 3 month supply then Walgreens had a hard time getting them and they went generic and I went on OB Natal 1 and was excited when they were $10.
Guess I'll call Empire - or just get samples from Dr. and start over.

I take over the counter Walgreens brand. My dr read the label and said they were exactly what I needed so he didn't bother to write me a prescription.

Re: what pre-natals???
I take OB Complete 400, but it's friggen 60/month WITH my insurance. If i run out of the prescription before I give birth, I'm just going to take the One a Day ones until the end. It was a lot of money, but I've been super healthy my pregnancy, not even so much as a cold, so hopefully it's been worth it.
