How do u buy/register for a dutailier glider?

We tentatively decided on a dutailier glider/ottoman yesterday but want a specific color combo. How do you actually order that? Is it possible to register for it or should we just plan on buying it ourselves? Best to get from a store like BBb, a furniture store like behrs or schneiders or online?

i bought mine from BBB. parents bought it, we didnt register for it. also you def should do it in store because #1 BBB lets you apply A LOT of coupons and #2 some models are only manufactured in certain colors. i think if you can get a great deal online and have already seen it in person, then do it, but otherwise i would make sure to see it in person first and sit in it and make sure its really what you want.

Have you sat in them to make sure the style you wanted you are comfortable with?

We sat in Dutailier gliders at BBB, Behr's and BRU. I found one at BRU I really liked, but couldn't find it online or anywhere else. I contacted Dutailer and they stated it was an exclusive design for BRU. So, DH and I had to decide what one we liked best since the BRU one was slightly more.

We ended up buying the model at BRU using furniture coupons. We got the style glider we wanted with the type of wood we wanted and there were plenty of fabric options and color options.

we bought ours several months ago and it is the best thing ever - if you can afford to get one early i highly recommend it. its been a great chair to just relax in when i get home from work. we got it at BBB and they have a ton there that you can sit in and then look at swatches and wood samples and can basically chose one of countless options. Also BBB lets you use coupons too.

We tentatively decided on a glider and color combo after looking at BBB, and then saw the same glider again at Schneiders. I assumed they all carry the same options and fabric options but we will probably go back in person one last time before ordering...

Have to price out whether it's cheaper at BBB or Schneiders (or Behrs? we have a giftcard there) with shipping and whatnot and whether they will hold it for us as we are moving a month before my due date.

Also, has anyone ordered a swatch? We tentatively decided on white wood and light green fabric but want to pick the right shade of green to match the accents on our crib bedding. Do they offer swatches to take home? We are between 2 different colors that are pretty similar but if we are ordering custom I'd rather go for the closest match
