We got the basic Snugride. The one that goes to 22lbs. I didn't want the heavier one because I wouldn't be able to carry it.

We were going to go with the regular Snugride, but now might go with the Snugride 30. I looked up the specs and the both seem to weigh 7.5 pounds. Not sure how I will feel about lugging around a 25 baby and the car seat, but I thought I could always just ditch the car seat at that point.

I saw this online at BRU, do they sell it in the store? I want to register for one that is available in the store. Out of all the snugride's this one is my favorite. I also like the chicco keyfit...I just can't decide.

I have a Graco snugride (the small one - up to 20something lbs) and LOVE it
I also have a Britax Roundabout and a Marathon -
I don't remember which of those is the bigger one - but DH and I agree we like the smaller (cheaper) one better -

I used the Graco Snugride, the smallest one. Honestly, I'm not sure if you'd want to carry a 30lb baby in the larger Gracos. I barey want to carry DC now! So heavy! We're using the Britax Marathon and Britax Roundabout in the cars now.

We got the Snugride 30. I dont think anyone actually carries around a 30 lb baby in these, I just used it as a guideline for how long I would be able to use it as a carseat and thats why I chose the higher weight capacity.
