alternative hair highlights?
I'm 7 mths PG but I have my sister's wedding in a few weeks and I have terrible roots! I really want to get my hair highlighted. What are the safer alternatives? henna? veggie dyes? where can I go to get these?

You can get your hair highlighted at the salon. It is safe. I did it during both my pregnancies and my boys are healthy.

i know plenty of people do, but my previous doc said no, and my current doc is not too keen on it either so i'd rather not.

Me too. I think as long as its properly ventilated you're ok. But whatever you are comfortable with! I'm not sure about the alternatives.

Highlights are ok during pregnancy because it doesn't touch your scalp. It's not like dye that has to actually be on your head. If you're still not into it, if you ask your regular colorist, I'm sure she could give you some advice about what else you could do.

There is a relatively new color called INOA. It is ammonia free. I have used it and it have no smell and does not burn at all when its on. I switched to it recently and love it and my colorist suggests it for PG women.
