So I'm sitting here laid up in bed at 38 weeks, with the FLU!!
Can you believe this shite? What are the freakin odds?? 
It hit me like a ton of bricks on Saturday night and was so bad that I had to go to an urgent care center on Sunday morning. Dr said it was no doubt the flu and since I have a scheduled c-section next week he said it was in my best interest to take Tamiflu, but since it's a class C drug that I should ok it with my OB before filling the rx. OB said the same, he said the baby is cooked at this point so I shouldn't worry so much about the drug's pg effect, that it's more important that I get the flu out of my system quickly and entirely before the baby comes.
I'll tell you I've never felt so out of it before, this flu is knocking me on my azz, literally. They both said the Tamiflu should work quickly though so hopefully it does, I take it for 5 days.
DS got his flu shot this year so I'm not so worried about him catching anything, I'm more worried that DH will catch it later and end up being sick when the baby comes but I know I can't stress myself out about it. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that we're all 100% by next wednesday morning!!

ugh I feel your pain!! I'm still dealing with the aftermath of the Flu from 3 weeks ago!

I am 39 weeks and have 103 fever! Dr called in meds so hopefully it will kick in!!! I am scared to go into labor:( for you...I will keep you in my thoughts

I hope you kick this thing! I had the flu for# 2 at 35 weeks. I has cs 2.5 weeks later with a lingering cough. That was the hardest part...coughing during recovery ...so rest up! Feel better!

You know this is what i'm most scared of.  I keep saying I just want this hacking cough to be gone before the c/s because it'll totally pop my stitches out!
