flu shot under 14 weeks pg
What's the story with getting the flu shot under 14 weeks. I went to my primary and they wanted to give me the shot at 12 weeks PG but right there on the wall was a sign not to get it till after 14 weeks. She couldn't explain the sign and said i should get it. That weirded me out so I said I would come back.
I am scheduled to get the shot tomorrow...i'll be 13 weeks 5 days. OB said it was fine but just wondering if anyone went thru this confusion

My OB said it was fine to get one and I had mine at 7 weeks back in Nov.

The new CDC recommendation is that women in all trimesters get the flu shot. The old recommendation used to be just second and third trimesters only. Personally, I got mine when I was 16 weeks and the doctor I saw was hesitant about giving it to me until he verified the CDC recommendations for himself. DH was adamant about my getting the shot because he works in a hospital and sees the flu a lot.

I had to wait till I was 12 weeks also, I guess they are a little nervous to give the shot to early.

My OB told me to get it right away - as soon as it was offered at work, which was 11 weeks.

I had my flu shot while I was in the 2ww. I didn't even know I was pregnant yet.

Please just make sure it does not have themerasol. The flu vaccine is the only one that sometimes still contains it!! ASK THE DR. FIRST!

I got my flu shot at about 5-6 weeks pregnant. I think I read at one point that the flu shot is safe at any stage of the pregnancy.
