i'm sorry this happened and i hope it is all for the best. i know you don't want your LO in daycare so young, but maybe things are happening for a reason!

Looks like my kids are going to daycare--we don't have time to look for someone else. Was so not ready to put my 4 month-old into daycare  I know my DD will be just fine, she loves it there (goes 2 mornings per week right now), but he's still so young...
Beth, you did the right thing getting rid of her. I know your kids will do great in daycare, I've had several friends use chain daycare centers with amazing results. There are a lot of caregivers and DS will be socialized very quickly, not to mention, DD will have a grand ole time 5 days per week! I know it's hard to swallow, but I promise you, the peace of mind that you will receive will be worth the initial angst. xoxox

You did the right thing by letting her go. I have fired a few babysitters already and I know how stressful it can be. You did what is best for your children.
