Home Fetal Dopplers
So I bought one...and I can't find the heartbeat! I am 10 weeks, 5 days. If you used them, when did you first find a heartbeat? I know to start very low (like on the pubic area), and to have a full bladder, and move around slowly...but still no luck!!!
Also, is it safe to use the doppler everyday? I used it twice today since I just got it, and I tried for a long time but I became concerned with it on for so long and then just gave up....

Mine said to use it only once a week for 15 minutes. Usually I find the hb low by my pelvis bone... either on the right or left side.

My OB won't use the handheld doppler until 12 weeks. The baby is still small at 10 weeks, so don't panic if you cannot find a hb.

Don't get discouraged...my Dr. couldn't hear mine with a doppler until after 12 weeks.

my OB said no way to getting an at home doppler.... for many reasons, one being the reason you are posting this thread lol causing uncessary worry

I have one and barely use it so I don't get concerned. ONe tip: do not hold it flat to your belly, place it on a n angle!!!!

It is not safe to use the doppler twice a day. I only used it once a day before I go to bed. I started to use it when I was around 12 wks.....Before that I didn't use it and also I didn't want to scare myself if I couldn't find the HB.
