Home Dopplers
Anyone have one? How good do you think it works? Which one did you get? How did you know you were hearing the babies HB? At how many weeks were you able to hear it? I will be 9 weeks tomorrow and since this little "spotting" episode I do not know how I will make it until the 25th for my ultrascreen. I would love to be able to hear the HB between now and then.

Re: Home Dopplers
I never bothered. Since I go to the doc once a month and hear the heartbeat there I figured it's enough.
But, I have never really had a reason to be concerned so I could see why you would want one.

Re: Home Dopplers
I wouldn't get one because 1: I can see it being very easy to become obsessed with it. 2: You will not be able to hear the heartbeat until 11/12 weeks anyway 3: I've been to my OB's where they couldn't get the heartbeat on the doppler and had to use a sono...imagine having that happen at home and not having a sono. 4: Lastly, they are not as sensitive as the ones the Drs. have so it would be even harder to pick up the heartbeat.
For me, less stress and aggravation to not have it. And I spotted for the first 9 weeks of my PG also....
