For those w/at home dopplers... Gel ?
What are you using for when you run out of the gel that came with it? I don't want to purchase more of it because it's pricey. I can't remember what I used the last time I had it. I think it was lotion? Thanks!

Couldn't you just use vaseline or something similar?
Also, where did you buy your doppler? I think I want to get one!

Oh yeah... vaseline! Duh... I haven't used that stuff since my last son was born for his pee pee! 
I didn't buy mine. I know everyone else here has. I'm renting mine since this will be our last baby. I didn't see the point of buying one. I should have bought one back when I had my first. I rented one with each of the kids.

i don't think vaseline is a good idea, it needs to be water based. they sell the gel for like $2 or $3 on amazon

i was thinking the same thing..............it's water based. when i do fetal dopplers at work, that's pretty much what i use.
