recommend your place for a baptism cake
DS' baptism is on 7/31 and I dont even know where to begin looking for a cake. Id like something more than just a sheet cake  (Nassau preferably!)

I have used St Honore Pastry Shop in Port Washington for many of our cakes (wedding, showers, baptism) they do gorgeous cakes (with or without fondant) and I always get many compliments on how good it tastes.

I use someone in Farmingdale (her name is Dawn) who does cakes out of her house. She is amazing and so reasonable. She will duplicate any cake you send her. You can do a search on my name and see all of the cakes she has done for me in the past.

If you don't mind driving (I know you said Nassau) then I highly suggest Lily Cakes. SO many girls on here (myself included) have used her and her work is amazing and delicious.

BOOOOO! Michelle's BFF owns a bakery but theyre in Morris Park in the Bx. Theyre the ones who did Soph's cake. mmmmmm red velvet.

she also did the cake we had on the 4th - for mom/gianni/mikes bday

Another Dortoni lover here, but Sweet Karma in East Meadow is FANTASTIC!!! It's a small shop, but they have incredible cakes and desserts. I know they provide the desserts for many country clubs etc. The owner, Brian, is such a nice guy and will really work with you for what you need.
I also like Reinwalds in Huntington if you are on the Nassau/Suffolk border.

This is where we got DS's cake and it was one of the best cakes I have had at a party.
I also second Sweet Karma in East Meadow. The place is tiny, but there stuff is SO good.
Personally, I think Dortoni's is a bit overrated. I have had just OK cakes from there. Their rainbow cookies are to die for, though.
