When do you turn ur sprinklers on for the season? I feel like I ask this every year but I can't find it! Sorry!

Re: Those with inground sprinklers

We actually had ours turned on in early April and ran them a few times when DH did his lawn magicChat Icon Then I didn't have them run when it was really cold. They are now on permanently for the seasonChat Icon

Re: Those with inground sprinklers

It's really just common sense to protect the pipes. Turn them on after all chance of freezing is past. Get them turned off and blown out before first hard freeze. Early April is too chancy for me. I've seen heavy snows up into late April, but it depends on the year. The first week in May is usually a good time.

Re: Those with inground sprinklers

We turned them on once the landscapers started working again and putting down lime and such. With the kids we wanted to be able to water everything away... we turned them on last month in April. If it had still been cold we would have waited.

Our landscapers had us turn them on in early April when they put down Lime.
