spoken and seen your doctor about TTC?

I have not seen my doctor or OB/GYN yet? I am going to make some appointments for next month?

What do I say or tell them? I went off BCP in September and we have been TTC ever since.

I just wanted to know if I was the only one who has not spoken to or seen my doctor?

Back in October when I first came off the pill I happen to be at my ob/gyn office for a routine visit and I told her. She didn't have much advice and didn't do much either.

My aunt works at the office and called me the other week and had me come back in b/c she didn't like that we've been TTC for 6 months with no luck. She made me see another MD there who did lots of bloodwork and a sono. He also sent DH for a SA.

I normally always see the midwife and I think she has a much more laid back approach so this is why my aunt made me see the MD who assured me that everything was OK and he just wanted to be more pro-active. Thankfully the sono was great. Didn't hear about my bloodwork yet and I got a +OPK the next day so DH hasn't gone for the SA yet.

I'm sure you're MD will probably do stuff along the same lines and just ask a lot of questions about your cycle and such.

I happened to be in the market for a new OB/Gyn last Fall so I went for a consultation and killed 2 birds with one stone. I expressed some concerns I had about my periods being very heavy and sometimes painful and he did an internal sono to make sure I ha no cysts or fibroids. We discussed pre natals and OPK's and he said he saw no reason I couldn't get Pg naturally but if I wanted to, I could go back in 6 months. I have an appt for a routine exam the end of May and if I don't get a BFP by then, I am going to discuss further.

I went to see mine before we started. I had some questions and wanted to talk about prenatals, etc.

thanks.....I think I am going to talk to my doctor and get checked out since we haven't been successful at TTC on our own.

No, I havent discussed it with mine. I went off BC on my own, and I figure I will call her in a few mos if there are no results, and see what she can recommend.

yea that is what I was going to do but I feel like I have to see my doctor to make sure everything is alright.

I went in the beginning to just find out about prenatals and she also checked my immunity & titer levels for rubella and I think chicken pox, otherwise they revaccinate you.

I went off BCP and havent gont to my dr. yet. After this cycle Im going to make an appointment.

I plan on making an appt next month, I also am in the process of switching doctors.

last time i saw her was nov and i told her id start soon (bc every time i see her she asks me- when are you going to try?).
she didnt have much to say. just go off pill, take a multi and have fun

I went about 4 months ago and I told her we were gonna ttc soon so she gave me some pre-natals and said everything looked good and hopefully next time I see her I would be pregnant. So hopefully she is right

I mentioned it and all he said was "take prenatals, you can do blood work before you get a positive, but you can wait until afterwards too, but really, just have fun"

My dr. and I are like BFF at this point.
I saw him for the first time (switched drs) in August for an annual and we discussed TTC and that I wasn't Oing since off the pill. He wanted to see my back in Jan. I was O'ing but having short LPs. So he did a series of blood work. Then DH and I both had a sit down to discuss results and plan of action. And since then, I've spoken to him on the phone.

I did at my yearly checkup and he told me to just BD alot and not worry about it!!

UMMMMMM does he not know about us TTC crazies?!?!??

Spoke to my dr when first started to get prenatals - she told me to come back after 4 months due to history of early menopause in my family and our ages.

I spoke to my dr about TTC before going off the pill. I asked some questions I had since I had been on the pill for so long.

I have spoken to my dr twice. Both times were at yearly visits. The first time, I had just gone off the pill and DH and I were taking the "see what happens" approach. She was very relaxed.
The next year when nothing had happened she still wasn't worried but sent me for an HSG and gave me a script for DH to get a SA, more because I was worried.
