average probably $400. but then there are months when i get a bag or a pair of expensive shoes so those months are more. i also dont color my hair, yet.

Almost nothing.

I forget to get my hair cut most of the time, so it happens maybe 3 times a year.

I don't dye it anymore (I will when I have this baby but until then, I'm a natural brunette with lovely gray highlights).

I don't have time for a mani/pedi - last one was in August. AWFUL!

Since I'm pregnant and borrowed my girlfriend's entire spring maternity wardrobe I have no need for clothes right now. And I think I have summer clothes in 3 different sizes so I won't be buying more (in a large size at least) until I see how much baby weight I lose.

I'll be buying a pair of sandals soon, which means I'll be getting a pedicure soon so I'll be spending something, but not much.

I want to say no more than $30 on grooming products a month and I don't think I spend more than $600-$800 on clothes and hair in a YEAR. I don't color my hair and I get it cut maybe 3 times....

I'll ask my husband though. I think he keeps track.

Not that much. I usually buy something only if I need it. I don't get my hair done that often. I stop coloring my hair. Don't get my nails done, but will get my pedicure during summer months. I don't wear make up that often.

wow....I wish I had an extra $500-$1500 to spend monthly on myself but then again if I did have that extra money I would most likely buy things for my house. I am a low-maintenance kinda gal and prefer to buy things for my house rather than myself. I spend $40 on a cut/color every 6-8 weeks. I spend $10 every two weeks on brow/lip threading. In the spring, summer and fall I spend about $30 every two weeks on a pedicure. I buy make-up, shampoo and conditioner when I need it. Sometimes I splurge and buy expensive make-up, shampoo/conditioner but that is very rare.

I have a sandal/flip flop and summer dress addiction but thankfully my addiction can be fed at Target! lololol

I only buy expensive clothing when I need it for a special occasion.

So I would say I spend anywhere between $50-$100 per month on myself.

Not too much...but we're paying for a wedding and saving for a house. We splurge on entertainment a lot more.

Clothing per month: 0-100, depending on what I need

Grooming: 0, do my own mani/pedis because I am phobic about others touching them, eyebrows waxed for free by a friend, no waxing. Color my own hair, free trims from a friend since I'm growing out my hair.

Personal care products: 10-30, the cheap shampoo works better than my expensive stuff, and I get discounts on other body products through my job. Makeup I buy whenever I need, but I don't wear a lot or experiement.

I would guess a cple hundred.

Between nails, waxing, gym, clothes, shoes, hair, makeup etc.

Sometimes more sometimes less.

I AM trying to be more concious if it as I get older and my priorities shift I used to spend A LOT more.

Maybe he is right - maybe I DO have a problem. The thing is - I actually spend MUCH LESS now than when I was younger.

The truth is I do not feel like I buy that much or that my wardrobe is really extensive.

I really don't get it because this is me truly tring to "budget" myself.

If I broke down my annual spending for beauty products/services & clothes/accessories, it would probably be around 500 a month, if that.

The only thing I'm consistent with is my brazilian waxing (every 4-5 weeks), otherwise I've stopped getting bi-weekly pedi & manis (don't have the time for the upkeep, so I sneak one in when I can), I rarely get my hair cut, I color my own hair, I get my hair straightened twice year (which I'm considering stopping) and I can't go into stores and buy off the rack (shoes, clothes, etc..) so I'm really limited to what I can purchase.

Probably about $150/mo avg.

seasonally I will buy new clothes but that happens only 2-3 times a year and usually I don't spend more than $400 a pop. That includes shoes and coats.

With DH out of work we have cut back dramatically.

I spend about $90 a month on mani's & pedi's. In the summer that will go up to about $110 cause I will get a pedi every 2 weeks instead of once a month. I spend about $150 every 6 -8 weeks on hair cut & color.
I only do a big shopping before winter & spring / summer. I am totally due for it now since last year at this time I just had a baby and now I lost weight.
But other then that I use tons of coupons and buy my personal items (shampoo, deodorant etc.) at BJ's.

Wow - well, things are getting a little better for us financially, but I would say last year - total on everything - maybe 1500 for the year - mostly birthday and Xmas money

I probably spend on average $500 a month but if I get a facial and/or massage that month then it's closer to $1000.

I don't even want to say how much I spend when I splurge on a handbag. Good thing it's not that often.

I think around $100, maybe a little more or less depending on the month and if I am an event to attend so I might need something to get.

This month I was feeling guilty because I bought a pair of slippers (60 dollars), a pair of sandals (60 dollars), and a bathing suit (70 dollars).

My plantar fascitis has flared up really bad the past few weeks so I had to get better shoes for myself so I 'splurged' at 60 dollars each for Orthaheel shoes. I already have 1 bathing suit - but since I am learning to swim, going to the pool mulitple times a week I decided to get a second one.

I felt bad about it, but DH said that he would rather I be able to walk comfortably and pay more money for shoes then go for a 30 dollar pair and be in pain. I still felt guilty. For clothes, shoes, bags, I really only buy when I need something and then I'll get alot at once. And when I do buy stuff I wait for coupons or goto the outlets.

As for personal hygiene, I dye my hair at home and only get it cut maybe 4x a year. So if I had to average out I'd say maybe 50 dollars a month?

But as a previous poster said, I'd rather spend my money on entertainment than clothes, etc so that's probably where my fault would be!

I don't really have monthly beauty expenses: I don't get nails & hair done on a regular basis & I only get trims, no color or staightening , I do my own eyebrows & I don't tan.

I mostly spend $ on products & its not consistent. The last couple of months I spent maybe $200 a month at most, and that was somewhat of a binge.

I don't usually buy clothes makeup & shoes all at the same time, unless it is for an event.

I should probably keep track of this better.

I'm going to need some spring clothes - i haven't bought any in 2 years bc I was PG last year. I'll use GCs from my birthday and discount codes. Otherwise I usually allow myself 1 item per month - either clothing or shoes. (about $30/month)
