Inspired by the bad mommy tb thread on pregnancy board...
What are some things you know will be hard to give up when you are pregnant?
(I'm sure this has been posted dozens of time's, Im sure, but I haven't seen it. Humor me)

I know at one point it will be IMPOSSIBLE to do this....... but I hope I am able to avoid doing this while in my sleep!!
Oh- DH says that when I'm pregnant I can't listen to my music in the car really loud that has a loud base- he thinks it might effect the baby's brain development!  DH says when I'm pregnant he wants to put headphones on my belly and have the baby listen to mozart!!!

I need at least one cup of coffee per day to exist in society.
I live on nothing but artificially sweetened drinks.
I don't eat tuna much or cold cuts, but I'm sure I will once they tell me I can't have them. :hah
That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there are a bunch of other things I do that will need to be curbed (or not  )

This thread was hysterical! Everyone should read it!
I weened myself off caffeine 9 months ago but will occasionally have regular coffee and a coke. I will def. miss Coke.
Although the PG ladies seem to eat a lot of cold cuts, my DH will be crazy and not let me.

I can give up cold cuts, and I've never eaten a hot dog.
But, I will miss caffeine, diet soda, tuna, sushi and ALCOHOL!!! But of course it will be worth it and I will do it. I know people say a little bit of alcohol is okay, but I know myself and I won't be able to do it. If something, god forbid, turned out to be wrong with DC, I'd blame myself forever.

Wine. I LOVE wine. Dh and I will open a bottle to drink often with dinner.
I probably won't quit all together, but I will have to reduce it a LOT.

Sleeping on my belly and not eating junk food. I think I might be the only pregnant woman to actually lose weight lol!!!! Dh said he will not be running out to get me ice-cream and that I can have a salad because that would be healthier for me and the baby

Alcohol - I don't even drink that much, but I think the fact that I can't is going to kill me!! I also love cold cuts and I see that someone wrote fesh mozzarella - are we really not allowed to have that??

You don't have to give up Mozzarella! You are not supposed to eat soft cheeses b/c they are unpasturized, but in the US almost ALL cheese is pasturized so you can eat it. If you look at the labels at the grocery store they are all made with pasturized milk....even feta, goat and blue cheese.

Coffee....I drink a lot of coffee. I know some docs say you can have 1 cup a day and some say you can have more but I read you should not have caffeine at all.
I also drink a lot of Crystal Light and I heard that you should not have Aspartame so I will have to give that up too.
I have weened myself off of soda and only have it on rare occasions so that won't be soo bad and if I crave it then I will just have a sprite.

Exactly! In the US, almost everything is pasteurized. I hate mozza last night! It really is ok.

Yeah, it has something to do with listeria bacteria, I think. But I would think it's ok if your eating Boar's Head from a clean and reputable place, no.
I could be totally wrong though.
