Tuesday QOTD

Hi ladies,
I'm home with a UTI, waiting for dr to open.
It's quite painful and bloody CM is really freaking me out! The worst part is I haven't O'd yet on CD21 (or I O'd super early and missed surge on CD12 or 13, as I had some signs), so there's a chance this month is a wash because I'm not sure when I can get back to BD'ing.

So I hope you don't mind if I avoid a TTC question as I'm sort of fit to be tied with the subject today.

So let's take it back....how did you meet DH?
And how long are you together?

I'm sure this has been done before, but there are lots of new faces on here now.

I never thought I'd meet my husband that way...I just wanted to go out to dinner. lol. What I mean is, I just wanted to date more. All the guys I'd meet at bars were definitely not into dating. I'd say after just a few months, I knew he was the one!

We're together 6 years this Friday! We're married 2 1/2 years!

We met at happy hour through one of the teachers I work with. We have been together for like 6 1/2 years and have been married for almost 2 years.

feel better- that happened to me our first month and I was crushed- but you will be good to go next month- so try not to let it bother you!

I met dh on a leadership retreat for our college eta- we have been together for a looooong time- we dated for 9 years and married for 1 1/2 years

We went to the same high school and we were in the same graduating class. We started dating in the beginning of 11th grade and the rest is history. We've been together over 18 years and have been married for over 11 of those years.

I met DH through work - my friend went on her honeymoon and I had to handle her clients
DH worked in one of the client offices and we started talking over IM and then we just hit it off
We will be tog 6 years in July and married 2 in August

Feel better! I had two UTIs last summer, they s u c k! Pick up the cranbery supplements in GNC or CVS, they are lifesavers!

Now, onto the question...

DH and I technically "met" online. (MayB - I never thought I'd meet my husband that way, either!) The first time we saw each other was when we met for lunch in the Applebees by Smithhaven Mall. Been together for six and a half years, married for 21 months

DH and I met when we were both 14 yrs old in Charlotte. I was the new kid in school and in the neighborhood and he introduced himself to me at the bus stop. From that day forward he walked me to and from the bus everyday. We became best friends and then started dating after HS. After a few months of being together he decided to move to Florida with his mom so we ended our relationship. We stayed in touch for about a year and then we just comepletely lost touch with each other (this was in 1997).

Fast forward to 2006 and the world of myspace! I found his brother on myspace and sent him a message asking for DH's number. After 2 weeks of never hearing back from his brother I sent him another message and he finally got back to me with DH's number and I gave him my number to give to DH. That same night DH called me...he was living in Charlotte and I was in NY.

For the next two weeks we were on the phone for hours each night. We made plans to see each other...I flew there for a weekend and he came here for a weekend. The weekend that he came here we decided this long distance thing was not going to work and one of us needed to move. So DH packed up his stuff and his cat and moved to NY to live with me and my dog and the rest is history! We were married 9/6/2009.

We've been together forever it feels, but it took us a long time to get married for geographical and other reasons. We were college sweethearts, dated 11 years and married for a little over 7 months.

DH and I met when I was 14 at a friend's house. He told me that night he was going to marry me and I thought he was a loser. We've been together for 12 years, married for 2.5.

DH and I knew of eachother for a while (throughout highschool he went to a different school) but we never really met or hung out. He was friends with my neighbor so at a blockparty we had he asked me to be his beer pong partner, the rest is history!

We met during our first year of law school. I didn't really like him at first and there is a 7 year age difference between us so I never thought much of it but halfway through our first year I clearly changed my mind about him.

We've been together for 4.5 years married almost 1 year.

DH and I went to school together....I'm talking elementary, middle and high school. We weren't in the same group of friends at all. When I was 19, his friend started dating my sister and we began hanging out. We've been together ever since! (13 years total, married nearly 3!)

My dad and DH's mom grew up in the same projects in Brooklyn. They both came from big families so all the kids ended up being good friends and stayed in touch as they all moved. So DH and I have been at birthday parties, bbq's, weddings and other events our whole lives.

When DH was 14 and I was 11 his mom passed away. He and his siblings stopped coming around. I hadn't seen him in about 5 years when my aunt passed away. He came to the wake and as soon as he walked in I told his older sister I was going to marry her brother. I gave her my number to give him and told her to have him call me if he wanted. (Totally out of character for me).

A couple weeks passed and I didn't heard from him and honestly had sort of forgotten about even giving him my number. I was out with some friends and decided I was bored and was going home. Strange for a 16 year old who normally would come in about 30 seconds before curfew. I wasn't home 5 minutes when he called. We talked for HOURS on the phone and made plans to go out on a date for the next weekend. We had our first date on September 7, 2001 and have been together ever since! We were married on October 9, 2009.

I always say his mom and my aunt had something to do with getting us together.

DH and I met working at summer camp together. He was 18 and I was 16. He went away to college and I was a junior. We started dating while he was home for Christmas break.

Dated for 10 years, married for 2!

DH and I met freshmen year of college. I went into his dorm room with other friends to play some drinking game and met him. We have been together for 10 years and married for 5 of those.
