I went to the RE today and could really use some and O dust. Quick background info – I hyperstimmed last cycle on femara and injectables. I am on CD18 of this cycle and have done two rounds of meds this cycle alone. I won’t go into crazy detail about the meds cause that’s boring to read – but basically I started on CD1-5 with femara, and have been doing injectable FSH every other day since then at varying doses. I have been in for monitoring several times with no response and had to repeat a double dose of femara CD11-15.
Went in for monitoring today and I have one 14mm follie… I have to do one shot a night for the next three nights and I go back on Thursday and the follie will be mature and I will be able to trigger… I have PCOS and haven’t ovulated since August 2009 (well I may have last cycle but cause I hyperstimmed it didn’t really count) and that was the only time I O’ed since being off BCP since May of 09.
Anyway I could really use some O and some and some good vibes for this. Dr. B said there is a small possibility that the meds just don’t work for me in the sense that I either overproduce and hyperstim, or underproduce and get no mature eggies. He said if that was the case the answer would be IVF because then if I produce a lot of eggs it’s a good thing since they can be removed – I wouldn’t have to worry about high order multiples like with IUI or regular BD. I am by no means ready for IVF yet – I still wasn’t even doing IUI cause DH and I really wanted to try as naturally as possible – I just don’t ovulate apparently ever…
