CAC Covers
For those of you with CAC, where did you get your CAC cover? We just had it installed this spring and we're starting to think about it now.
TIA

Does it fit snuggly or is too big for the unit?

Re: CAC Covers
I was told by my cousin that installs CAC NOT to cover the unit ouside. Condisation can built up inside and cause more problems than keeping it uncovered. We have never covered ours and *knock on wood* it works perfectly...even being about 15 years old

I was told the same exact thing from someone we had at our house to give us an estimate. CAC units are meant to be outside all year round, perhaps it depends on the brand of the unit. I would look into this further or call the company who installed it or the manufacturer, before buying the cover.

We were told the same thing....In the 4 years we are in the house, we never covered it. It has run fine year to year....

Re: CAC Covers
Ours has a hard plastic cover that goes up when it's on and back down over the top when it goes off. It came with the unit and we were told to only use that.

My father and brother both do HVAC for a living, and they have told me NOT to cover it. I throw a piece of wood over the top just to prevent stuff from falling in, but that is all I do.
