I'm a MOMMY!!! w/ pics & birth story!!!!
Hi Ladies -
First of all I just wanted to say that your world turns upside down once you have your little bundle of joy in your arms, and words can not express what it feels like.....
so here is my birth story.....
Sunday night 8/16 I came back from a baby shower around 8:30ish all fine, nothing, still taking my progress belly pics at 9:30, DH & I go to bed around 9:50, once i turn the lights off i start laughing and say Honey put the lights on I think my water broke - it wasnt a big gush of water, it just felt like trickling, so I called my doctors service they said to go to the hospital to confirm that it was my water that broke and then we'll go from there, i wasnt having any contractions (last doctors visit i was 3cm dilated which was on wednesday) so I shower, DH shaves and so on... we get to NSUH after 11, they hooks me up to the monitors and check if my water broke which it did. So since i wasnt having any contractions they wanted to start me on the pitocin, I was still only 3cm dilated, 80% effaced, baby in -2 station,
i told them that i'd like to wait and see what happens on its own, so they said fine, the doc will let you labor on your own, and at 8am if nothing happens he's coming in and will give you pitocin. So I got my own room at around midnight, DH & I were talking pictures goofing around, i started having slight contractions (pain level 1-10) about a 2, so i thought this was going to be all night - all day thing ---- i heard the women in the other rooms screaming, gave myself a heartattack.... wondering when the contractions are going to start. I must say that I had about 10 contractions that i thought were pretty painful but nothing like i anticipated.
They kept checking in on me, but my contractions were irregular, about 7-10 minutes apart, some 3 mins apart. All over the place. DH & I were snoozing on and off.I had the uncontrollable chills that come with labor (all normal) then i felt really nauseas, (threw up) i know TMI. And around 3:30 I said i have to go pittle, i did, then i said i feel i have a bowel movement, so the nurse called the attending dr he came in examined me (internal) and i screamed for the life of me and he yelled that im fully dilated and this baby is ready to come out.
 i said whatttttttttttttttttttttttttttt I wasnt even having that many contractions or anything - nurse asked me if i wanted an epi i yelled yessss (bc of the pain from the internal, i thought it was going to be like this the entire time) and then I look at DH and say... maybe i dont need an epi if this baby is almost here, nurse said that if im 10cm dilated and having a normal calm conversation then i will be fine, plus she said that this baby is ready to come out whenever i push, she said a couple of good pushes and she will be here. so when the anesthesologist came, we sent him away  they had to call my doc (which thankfully lives 10 min away from the hospital) so i was waiting with my pushing for him to arrive. He arrives at around 4:00am, and says OMG what happened? i was supposed to be here at 8am to give you pitocin? well i guess baby victoria had a plan of her own. 15 minutes and 5 pushes later Victoria was born!!!!
I still can not believe i had a natural birth. I am truly blessed to have had such an easy labor.
I feel great and we are so in  with our baby girl.

im good - everyone is right when they say that your maternal instincts just kick in ;)
but BF is not as easy as I thought ;(
She's not getting enough from me so we have to supplement with formula.

OMG Gabi I was  reading that story, you had a STEALTH delivery!!!!!! She is so GORGEOUS and you look AMAAAAZING Congratulations on your beautiful Victoria!!!
