Re: A major *woe is me* post.

I felt EXACTLY the same way! There was a day b/w 36-37 weeks where i just went off to DH about how this kid needed to come out because i just could NOT do it anymore. (he was nice enough to remind me that i didnt really have a choice lol).

Andddddddd here i am at 41 weeks, still kind of feeling the same, but i've just come to terms with it. I'll be induced tomorrow night and she'll be here by saturday the latest. It is veryyyyyy frustrating at the end- especially when everyone is telling you the 'secret' to getting the baby out- yes, i did 43678295 squats, had sex like banchees, ate spicey food, can't even deal with looking at abother pineapple, walked like it was my job, climbed more stairs than i ever have. Ever. My nipples are probably ready to fall off from all the stimulation, and with all of the pelvic exercises i've done, i could make a killing in the raunchy side-show business. And, no, none of it worked. I've been extremely uncomfortable, cant sleep, can't walk, can't breathe (i sound like i'm at a fat man's meeting)... But i think when i came to terms with the fact that it was out of my control, and started trying to focus on enjoying this last time of feeling her move around in my belly, watching my belly move and wondering what she was doing in there- really focusing on enjoying the amazing parts of being pregnant... it really did make it alot easier!

And... now that the date is finally set, i have mixed emotions knowing that its almost all over. Hormones make you a crazy person! Chat Icon (well, after my growth sono yesterday that estimated her at 9.5lbs, i also have reservations about her coming out for other reasons) Chat Icon Chat Icon

Good luck! You're almost there- it's the hardest part right now, but it WILL be over before you know it! Chat Icon

Re: A major *woe is me* post.

It is quite alright to have a woe is me moment...day or week... The end SUCKS! Chat Icon

I am 28 weeks and seriously say ten times a day, that I don't think I'm gonna make it...and I only have to go to 37-38 weeks and as awful as it sounds, I am sometimes thrilled about that b/c this is just unbearable.

I fantasize daily about how nice it will feel to FEEL NORMAL....

And YES , The thyroid could cause the itchy hands etc. I have hypothyroid too and when my levels are off, I get really REALLY dry skin on my hands.

crashing - about the itchiness ... have you had your thyroid levels checked or do you have thyroid issues?

I have itchy palms all the time and it is unbearable Chat Icon i wake up from the itch and nothing seems to help.

I have hypothyroid issues and the hives/itching are related. I have also had it on the soles of my feet, legs, face etc.

Long shot, but maybe something to look out for?!

Awww, I know the end is hard enough as it is and I'm sorry you are having it so rough right now. At least you will get some relief from the itchies tonight! If it makes you feel any better you won't be sleeping when the baby comes either. Sorry.....just trying to make you laugh. Feel better! It will be over before you know it. (((Hugs)))

hopefully the bloodwork shows something Chat Icon

oatmeal baths help, try to relax and try not to put pressure on your palms (picking things up, driving, clapping etc.) as this aggrivates mine.

Chat Icon Chat Icon good luck and here's hoping for a delivery sooner rather than later!!

Oh Mama!! I am so sorry! I feel some of your pain though. We're right on track with each other and I swear I promised I'd never rush her out but I can't deal with the hip pain, the not sleeping and the constant peeing!!!

Did you ask to have your membranes stripped? Someone told me that might help a bit!!!

When I had my first internal on Monday he said if he had done a "good exam" he prob could've gotten things going, but he made me wait another week, I think because he was going away. I have my next one on Monday and I am going to ask him to do it.
