OMG when I was pg with DD I was hooked on Nathan's hot dogs couldn't get enough of them! So far I think only once this time but with it being summer now I'm sure I'll have a few.

Same when I was pregnant! For some reason I craved hot dogs while pregnant even though generally I dont really care for them!

Sure have, I think I have had 3 total so far & have no intentions of stopping  No way to get through the summer without one, but I live by everything in moderation

I have had a few since Memorial Day and they are so good!
For what it's worth I only eat Kosher/ all beef hotdogs if that makes a difference.
It's not something I would eat everyday, but here and there it's OK.

I've only had the nitrate free ones, but DH was buying them from trader joes well before I was pregnant, so it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for us.

me too. I've had 3 so far.
I have noticed that I don't necessarily feel that great after, but not sure if that is the fault of the poor hot dog or the ridiculous amounts of sauerkraut and spicy mustard I put on it
I gave up hot dogs for YEARS after learning about nitrates in the 7th grade at school (although I LOVE LOVE them).
I started eating them again, but only during the summer, only on the grill, and only once in a blue. it's too hard not to b/c my husband loves them....and who can resist a crispy (nathans, sabrett, hebrew national or boars head...anything else I can EASILY resist ) hot dog with the fixings of your choice on a toasted TOP SPLIT bun.
um, not me. and thankfully baby agrees.
just remember to eat FRESH foods often. lots of veggies and fruits and you will be golden.

My doctor told me that hot dogs, and most other tings that I have read on here, are actually fine. He said cook the hot dog, and turkey sandwiches are fine!!! That's why I really like him! LOL

I've had one but now I am craving them! My dr never said not to, I just haven't because DH hates them and so I never think to buy them. But if I am at a bbq, watch out! I'll go to town on them!
