What car seat(s) did you register for?
Just curious what everyone is going for. 
Please include the pattern too! 
As of now, I'm thinking of...
Infant... Graco Snugride in Brentwood with extra base for DH's car (but I'm not sure of the availability, not in store and out of stock online)
 
Convertible... Britax Marathon in Cowmooflage in my car and Platinum in DH's car (sister and SIL have and love so I'm experienced with it from babysitting)
 
ETA: Just got back from adding to my registry and ended up going with a different infant seat...
Chicco Keyfit 30 in Extreme with extra base

We did the snugride 32 in lemongrass.
And the Evenflo triumph(since i have a small car and this and teh roundabout are the only ones that fit in comfortably)

I have the Graco Snugride in Platinum and the Britax Roundabout (not sure name of color but its beige with darker beige swirls on it). Love them both!

We went with the Graco Snugride in Sterling (as well as the metrolite stroller) and the Britax Roundabout in Bellamy.

Wow... a lot of snugrides. BRU is very limited on the pattern choice for the snugride. I ended up liking the features of the Chicco Keyfit 30 so went with that in the end.

got the snugride for the infant seat...the kasbah pattern which is retired but very close to the Nouvelle pattern
for the grown up seat- im waiting til christmas for 
currently picked out:
Evenflo Triumph Advance DLX Convertible Car Seat - Parkside for my car
Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat in Matrix for dh's

i was looking at primo viaggo sip by peg preggo it looks like it has extra support for the baby.

for DS i used the graco snugride, which i LOVED. now we use the britax roundabout, which is great too! we'll be using the same snugride for DD and will probably get her a roundabout as well.

I cannot answer for everyone else but for me, the snugride was a top pick because it got top ratings and it seemed to be quite simple and lightweight. This year the Chicco Keyfit 30 was rated high as well.

ETA: I personally chose the Keyfit over the Snugride because I liked the buckle better and it had nice newborn support padding, more than the snugride (I've read that adding supports that do not come with the car seat take away from its effectiveness). And I had my sister with me and she liked it better too. Not to mention that the seat cover was more gender neutral and modern in style, which was the last thing I looked for in a car seat but did help in the choice.

The Nautilus is a great seat but I wanted to point out it's only a front facing seat from 1 year old/20lbs. Most babies grow out of the infant carrier between 4-8 months....We just got it for our toddler

We registered for the Graco Snugride in Tango as an infant seat and the Graco Comfortsport Mitchell as a convertible....
We opted for Graco based on it's high ratings along with pricing....

I picked the SnugRide because it was rated well in baby bargains. Also, it was lighters than some of the others. For me, I didn't want the infant seat to be too heavy before we even put the baby in it. JMO
I would definitely go to BRU or BBB and try the seats out yourself. It is the best way to make a decision. You have to go with what works for you.

We did the chicco keyfit 30 with the base and we are very happy with our decision. We also registered for the chicco cube stroller, which holds the carseat.

Do I need to register for two britax marathons? I know the infant seat just has a base that can go into DH's car, but how does that work with the Britax carseat (when baby is bigger)...is there a base for that too?
I swear, the car seat questions never end!

For the convertible seats such as the Britax Marathon there is no base. You would need two car seats- one for your car and one for DH's car. Somepeople just get one and only drive that car or move the carseat.
I personally registered for 2 convertible car seats because DH and I will be doing equal amounts of driving with the baby in the car. If we don't get both of them we will definitely go out and buy them in the future.
