what brand car seat did everyone register for?

not the infant one the next one (convertable stage). i feel like the Britax are so much money. i know they are supposed to be good but i want to register for 2 and at 299 a pop i feel like it is a lot.

what other brand is good - are the Gracos????

We registered for the Graco Quattro Tour travel system. We liked how the stroller can be used for many years. But, we'll have to get another car seat eventually.

my 2 nephews have the Graco comfortsport ....I love them so thats what I registered for

We're getting a Graco travel system and we also go t a separate Graco newborn to toddler car seat.

I had a Graco car seat for when she was a baby.

And we have the Britax Marathon for the main carseat now. My parents bought it for us because it was very pricey for us, but if I had to do it again I'd buy it in a heartbeat. It is an amazing seat and I don't know firsthand about other older baby carseats, but it blows away our Graco infant seat.

For our 2nd bigger baby carseat we'll probably get the Evenflo Triumph. A TON of moms on the parenting board have recommended it, it is the next best as far as safety ratings to the Britax (better then the Graco or Eddie Bauer seats) and range between $99-140.

I would go to BBB (they always seemed very knowlegable) and speak w/ the salesperson. Just ask them what's the next best thing to the Britax. Or you could say you want to spend $x and what would be the best value for that $$.

BTW- I have 2 Britax (one in my car and one in my mom's car) and DH has an Evenflo that we bought at Target for $30 on clearance b/c DD threw up in my car and we needed something and it was the only one Target had (it was 9PM on a Sunday night). The Evenflo is fine except for the fact that it is much smaller and DD is almost too big for it. She still fits fine in the Britax.

thanks guys. i dont know why i am worrying so much b/c i am only registering for them. obiviously i want whats best so maybe i will just do the Britax and hopefully i get them.

i'm gonna go and check them and the Evenflo Triumph and see what the reps have to say about them both!!

we originally registered for a graco one for each but after researching re-thought it and returned the older (2nd) graco - we figure we saved the credit for towards a britax- in case they change before we need it and also so we don't have to store it in the meantime!

we also registered for the new graco safe seat which holds a baby for up to 30 lbs from birth so we bought ourselves some extra time for now too!

my friend just went through buying a new car seat for her daughter after she outgrew the infant one and bbb staff were very good and helpful to answer all her questions - she wound up with the britax companion - and you can see the difference imho.

i say if you want two birtax, register for them, its up to people if they get it for you or not!!

I registered for 2 Britax Marathons (one for me and one for DH) - I also feel they are very pricey and honestly I'm not expecting to get them as a gift, but you never know sometimes people chip in or maybe my job will do one big gift. We will just buy them if I don't get them at my shower.

I just like that they are bigger and last longer - hence more for your money.

we registered for the Graco snugride (to go w/ the snap & go) and then the Britax- i always forget what model.
