My PG was all wrong, but it came out all right! (My story to help you smile)
I was told it would be nearly impossible to get PG. Once I did get PG, I was told to relax because you never know. At 7 weeks I got really sick. Found out it wasn't morning sickness, but the stomach flu. I figured the stomach flu wouldn't allow my baby to get the nutrients he needed. Doctors said to relax.
At 10 weeks I had horrible pains, and after an ultrasound, he was measuring a bit behind. At 17 weeks I was rushed to the hospital with horrible pain. I found out that he aggravated an old broken rib. At 19 weeks I began to pop. Some co-workers said I looked HUGE. Doctors told me to relax.
At 27 weeks, our apartment flooded while I was home alone. I moved furniture and boxes (we were about to move) to higher ground. My contractions began. Because of these contractions, doctors realized that my baby had grown a bit big. They then decided to give me an ultrasound and non-stress test every week. During these ultrasounds, they found out he was not just big, but enormous, and also had an enormous sack in which to roam. Doctors told me to relax, yet tested me for GD every week. (Which I never ended up having)
By week 34 I was put on modified bedrest and we didn't know how we'd pay the bills while I was out of work. Somewhere around this time I came out of our apartment and found myself at gunpoint. (After crapping myself, I found they were police looking for the tenant upstairs.) The closing of our house took FOREVER, yet we refused to build any baby items while still in the apartment. At week 36 we finally closed!!!!!!!! DH painted our new place and did it all on adreneline.
We moved on Thursday and our 11 pound 8 ounce son was born the next day, just as I got to 38 weeks. We weren't prepared for ANYTHING! We never thought he would come home in 6-9 month clothes. We had washed all the 3-6 month clothes for him and had no diapers in his size. We made it work. Neither one of us had ever changed a baby's diaper, but nurses told us to relax.
My PG had a lot of 'hiccups' along the way, but it worked. DS is healthy and happy now at 14 months. I want you all to know, if you read this far , that it can all work out!!!!! I wish you all the best!!!!!!!!! (But I don't suggest moving any furniture or boxes)

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! I am a worrying mess today..I think it's the hormones, and this is what I needed. I think it's so easy to expect the worst, because you hear a lot of bad things. It's so nice to hear this and to know there was a good outcome!

The ultimate Kelly story.
I remember when all of this was happening, and thinking to myself, "thank goodness Kelly has the most amazing attitude, b/c anyone else might have given up hope." You are still amazing

You can never relax. Even once you give birth, all the worrying hits new level!
