Did You Think???
It would be easier to conceive! Did you think all the other factors didn't really matter because you never had any history of a "problem"?
Sorry, just feeling sort of bummed. It's too early for me to be really mad but I ignorantly thought we'd be golden and that this would be easy.
ETA: This is only month #2.

Re: Did You Think???
I never imagined that it would be so hard for DH & I to conceive. I know everyone is different but we are surrounded by family that gets pregnant by just thinking of it but for us, it has been a lengthy process.
Just try to remain as positive as you can & remember that it WILL happen

Re: Did You Think???
Considering I got pg with DD on our first try- yes, I am extremely disappointed that I'm about to enter my 6th cycle TTC #2.

Re: Did You Think???
Initially, I never thought I would have trouble conceiving. However, once I found out, it was a tough pill to swallow. Here I am, almost 15 months later, still trying.

Re: Did You Think???
I knew that due to my age, I probably wasn't going to get pregnant quickly, but here we are 19 months later, and I honestly did not expect it to be this difficult.

Re: Did You Think???
OMG. I totally agree. I thought it was so easy and was even worried if I was ready. Well 8 months of TTC and no BFP I know that I am definitely ready! Try not to feel bummed. Its definitely hard, but it will happen for you!

Re: Did You Think???
I figured that since we weren't even trying and got pg with DS that it would happen just as fast the second time around. But it turns out that we have some IF issues. We are going on 14 months in March.

Re: Did You Think???
Well, I can't complain (yet) because it only took us 2 months to conceive, but I had a m/c. I'm hoping that we can conceive that quickly again. What I didn't expect is how difficult TTC can be emotionally. I thought it would be fun & exciting. I did not realize how crazy & emotional it would be or how frustrating the waiting could be.

Re: Did You Think???
Yes!!! I really thought it was going to be a lot easier. I thought I'd go off the pill and it would just happen. We haven't really told our families we are trying b/c then there is too much pressure once everyone knows it hasn't happened yet. We've been trying a few months now so it's still early, but still upsetting at times. We bought the CBEFM and this will be our 2nd month using it. We are hoping it will happen for us soon and am trying to stay positive. I saw my GYN recently and she didn't seem concerned, she told me not to STRESS, which is so difficult. She didn't do any blood work or anything which surprised me... We will wait a couple more months to see what happens. Hope your time comes soon!!!!.....

Re: Did You Think???
Yes, I thought it would be much easier. I had these visions of POAS and being totally and completely surprised.
I'm still coming to terms with the fact that this will never be the case with me--we have to plan everything down to crossing the Is and dotting the Ts.

Yes, I never thought it would be this hard. I thought we'd try for a few months and be able to get pg like everyone else. Never did I imagine I would have to go through IF treatments.

Re: Did You Think???
I never thought it would be so hard. We found out after 6 months that we had a male factor issue, my DH had surgery and things are looking better but still no BFP. We are moving onto cycle 14.

Re: Did You Think???
Absolutely! We've been trying seriously for about 2 months but I thought it would be so easy! SIL just got pregnant with her 3rd by accident.
If this month is a no go, next month we are going to be using ovulation kits.

Re: Did You Think???
Have patience! You will get there eventually! I know how it is in the beginning, you are so excited TTC and the first BFN or two is a big let down. I know it's hard, but try and not think about it so much....even though I ahve to do IUI, when I got my BFP last year I think it was b/c I was not stressing about it, I had so much to do with my home renovation I wasn't even thinking about it. My best advice, set up a project for yourself during the two week wait to distract yourself. Good luck!

I think we're on a similar timeframe. After month 3, I'm gonna start using OPK's. Good Luck to you!!!

Re: Did You Think???
I figured that since the first time we BD'd I got pregnant (ended in a chemical), then we got pg again, not really trying, (ended up in D&C). Now that we are officially TTC (cycle #3) it's frustrating....... WHen I have a co-worker who wasn't trying (got pg) and numerous friend's of my younger sister (17-22 y/o) who aren't trying they got pg. it gets to me at times. BUT........... But in God's time. Re: Did You Think???
When I started my TTC journey I expected it to take 3 months tops. Now, 10 months later I am going through IF treatments and can't believe sometimes that this is my life.
