i think she is overeacting, she had two chances to use the name and didn't, now it's up for grabs.
I agree with this. If that were her #1 choice for a name, and she was madly in love with it but hadn't had any children (or girls) yet, it would be a different story. She passed on it twice already -- now it's fair game.
I'm so sorry she is doing this to you.

I can see if she had NO girls yet, but, considering she does, ummmm she already had the opportunity to name one of her DDs Felicity!

IMO I dont think its a big deal if cousins have the same name. Me and dh are not going to call our child something different 365 days a year so that it doesnt have the same name as a cousin it sees 10 times a year.

I can't believe that!!! She is your sister. Even if she has a problem with that (ridiculous), she should have called you to congratulate you. That's horrible. You are totally right. So what IF she did get pregnant again and had a boy, you loose out on your name? Uh Uh, not right!!!
My sister had the same problem with her in laws. It was a cousin who wanted the same name. She said fine, we can both name them the same. My sister had no problem. I mean come on, how many Michaels or Anthony are there in an Italian family? So, you would have the same thing as the girls name.
ETA: My sister didn't give up, so now there are two in the family.

Her behavior would make me angry and probably somewhat hurt. First off, she could have used the name Felicity twice before, so if she loved it that much, she would have already used it.
Second, I think it is selfish and hurtful of her to not respond to your email. The point of your message was to share wonderful news about a child coming into this world. It is unfortunate that her response, rather than to congratulate you, is to fixate on the name (which by the way, I think is beautiful).

your sister's ridiculous! FELICITY's on her list! she had her chance and now the ship has sailed. she's being territorial and nuts.
argh! even though she's nutso, if you cannot resolve this name tugging problem, will you still go ahead with teh name? it would be terrible is this is the reason for any rift between sisters.

ps - i think Felicity is a pretty name.
