Winter babies 1st birthday?
What the heck are y'all doing?
I want to do something at the house, but it's too small inside. A BBQ would have been perfect, but too cold
What's a fun type of place for kids and adults? I hesitate doing a restaurant because of the babies/kids running around.
So confused

Not sure where you are located or what you're looking for but DS's 1st b-day will be next April and I am in a similar situation...too many people to invite for my house and not warm enough for a BBQ. I am thinking about having his b-day at White Post Farms. Alot of the girls on here rave about it and I always here great things about this place! They do everything indoors during the winter.

We're trying to figure that out now. (we're technically a fall baby, but it's still gonna be cold.) I'll let you know as soon as we figure it out. We have too many options. It's overwhelming.

Re: Winter babies 1st birthday?
I'm having the same issue. My DD will be 1 December 27th and I have 55 people to invite. I REALLY don't want to spend the $$ like I did for her Christening. I should have waited and had a big party only for her b-day, BUT it's her 1st. I have no idea what to do. Most of the people who would be coming don't have kids, so I don't want to make it too kiddie and since she is only 1, she doesn't understand it yet.
I feel bad for winter babies as it is and I want something special for her.

Thanks Crissy. That sounds like a GREAT idea, but I'm not in LI. I'm in Putnam County, NY. I should see if we have anything similar, although I don't think so

Re: Winter babies 1st birthday?
My son was born 12/12- I think on his actual birthday we will have just close friends and family. Then next summer we will have a big party. Who says the big party has to be on the exact birthday. I plan on celebrated his half birthday in June

Re: Winter babies 1st birthday?
I would love to have a HUGE 1st Birthday for DS, but, it won't happen. We had a HUGE Christening for him.
His bday is 1/15. It will include immediate family only. I told DH (his bday is 1/12) that when we have our friends over for his bday, we will have a small cake for Bryan too and he agreed.
Im definitley having a house party. I think it will be easiest.

Re: Winter babies 1st birthday?
In the same boat. DD's 1st bday is the end of december. We had a big party for her christening over 100 people at the GW Manor and it cost just about 7k and we had to cut people that we cant cut for her bday so now for her bday its 125 adults and 28 kids. looking for a american legion hall to do it in.
