If it makes you feel bad just think of all the people that had to watch their family members raped, tortured, and then murdered because of him. You reap what you sow! He deserves that and moreChat Icon

Amen to that!

Nothing's sacred anymore, so I'm not surprised. And while I think he deserved what he got for all the atrocities he committed, I really don't need or want to see it happening.

I find it barbaric that it would be broadcasted. And no matter how horrible someone is, for ppl to be celebrating in the streets leaves me queasy.

My thoughts exactly.

Re: Is anyone else disturbed by Sadaam death being broadcasted on TV?

Nobody likes to see the morbidity of things like this. I think there are reasons why these images are shown other than the senationalism of it all.

If those who sentenced Saddam Hussein thought he was capable of remorse, he would be rotting in prison. He isnt. He felt justified in his actions to kill and torture all of those people.

There are many things that we wish young children never see. Sure it is pretty gross to see a hanging. But I think this could be a valuable lesson to show how there are negative consequences for crimes against humanity. It also gives the families of the innocent people closure and a sense of justice in what the rest of the world sees as an unjust place.

I am totally opposed to capital punishment so I find it barbaric that it would be broadcasted. And no matter how horrible someone is, for ppl to be celebrating in the streets leaves me queasy.

I agree. I just saw a clip on CNN.com and the executioners explaining to him what they were doing.

I was in no way disturbed by it. Dead man walking!

He was the butcher of Baghdad, he commited genocide on the Kurds killing over 100,000. He started a war in Iran that lasted 8 years and left 1,000,000 dead. He killed 148 men and boys in 1982 out of revenge. He and his 2 sons were tyrants who thought little of human life. He got what he deserved.

same here, but as I watched his face I actually felt bad for him for a minute, he looked so nervous. I actually wish they kept him alive and worked him like a horse on a farm for the rest of his life, let him suffer long term rather than short term, I did read that he did not die immediately, he choked for 30 seconds, so it was not instant, at least he suffered somewhatChat Icon

I'm glad he's dead. Seeing the rope around his neck didn't bother me one bit. Although I didn't see that hanging, that wouldn't bother me either.
I did see a video one time of a hostage being beheaded and that bothered me.
But Sadam, no not at all.

Yes but if he was alive don't you think some crazies would take hostages and whatnot to demand his release?
