I want to kick my MIL in the teeth!
My MIL is such an a s s, I swear.
Katie was sitting in her carseat and I was on one side and MIL was on the other. So Katie is looking around and she looks at me and smiles and then turns and looks at MIL.
MIL then says "Yes that's right you'd rather look at ME than at Mommy!"
I wanted to kick her in the head. .
Then a few mins later I'm still sitting next to Katie (because I will not leave her alone with crazy MIL) and then my 2 SILs come in the room and we were all talking.
I was just looking at Katie thinking how cute she was (LOL) and my MIL says "Oh Kathy don't look so sad just because she doesn't look like you at all" - What the hell!??!? Where the hell did that come from?
I gave her a look and said "Oh no, she DOES look like me and she looks like her Daddy too" my SILs rolled their eyes at her.
I hate her.
I told DH what she said and he had the nerve to go ask SIL if that was really what happened (she confirmed it was) but what the hell - he had to confirm it?
OK sorry that is my Labor Day weekend vent!!

OMG- I would be sooo mad too... totally sounds like her and my MIL would get along great!

I used to get the comments about Damien looking nothing like me and being all my DH. I started carrying a baby picture of myself (which people think is him) to prove he looks like me too. Immature? maybe, but it made me feel better

I hope Im not an evil MIL someday  As far as the comment, someone always has something... if she says it again, you can always say to her "At least you know it's his child since she looks so much like him" I'd throw in some off color sarcastic humor to give her the  face.

If I were you, I'd not let MIL See the baby. She is ridiculous. I'd flat out say to her "What's your problem. You have NO right to treat me that way or to talk to the baby like that."

That's just nasty! Why would this woman be so rude?!
If it makes you feel any better, my MIL is not much better. We framed the picture from our 3-d sono and my MIL is showing it to everyone and bragging how the baby looks just like her.  Ummm, actually he doesn't. He seems to be the perfect little blend of me and DH.

Oh yeah - I forgot something else ...she is digging and digging through her old pics and finally pulls one out and its HER baby pic and she goes around to everyone in the room saying how much Katie looks like HER as a baby - she doesn't - really she doesn't at all.
The post about the 3D sono just reminded me of that.
Oh...I just don't like her at all.

OMG! Kick her in the teeth...go for it!
Her A S S would have been thrown out of my car and well deserved! How do you put up with this??? Time for you to stand up for yourself and not be put through such abuse! If abuse is her way of living I would stay away. Sorry to hear all that!

OK- I think your MIL has vision problems-I think your daughter looks ALOT like you. Granted, I've never seen pics of your husband, but she looks like you in the pictures you've posted.....
