yes, go. There is a difference in doctors.
I read the book by Dr. Jerome Groopman about how doctors have preconceived ideas about some patients.
It's important to get other opinions.
I already switched my RE even before anything has been done because it didn't feel right to me.
I have traveled far and wide for the right doc and so should you.

I would also like to add that I don't think you are crazy girl! I think you just want to explore every option and this is important to YOU! I am glad you are taking steps to make YOURSELF more comfortable! That is super important!!!

I absolutely agree with every single person. 45 mins for peace of mind and answers/resolutions is totally worth it. It's so hard to find caring, considerate doctors. Go for it. This is a sign for sure.

in the grand scheme of things - 45 minutes is NOTHING! You have been worried about sticking with your current doctor and have to look at this as a sign of fate my love...
You now have someone who hasn't met you concerned about your health & well-being....that's HUGE. I think it would be perfect for you & your sister to have the same doc, as they may be able to find subtle things to help you on your merry TTC way!!! There could be something that worked for NO ONE, but it did with your sis, so you can try it, etc...
End result - you weren't sure about your doc....now this should be the push you needed to make yours go away...

I would switch to this guy in a heartbeat- he understands your sister's condition which is the same as yours. My SIL doc was amazing for her as well and she considered switching since he was near her old job which is an hour away in LA traffic! She is so glad she stayed with him and even though the hospital was really far away, she wouldn't change a thing. Plus she got to give birth at Cedar's Sinai where all the celebs go- she loved it!

When it come to your health and the health of any future children a 45 minute drive will feel l ike nothing in comparison to peace of mind.

I kind of think it is a good idea to switch. I think you'll feel better. You've been thinking about it for a while anyway and now that this doc seems so proactive, I think you'd always second guess your own doc if you didn't switch.

DO IT De,
THe place where I'm diong all my pre natla care and where I'm delivering is 45 min- 1 hour away because I feel that that is where I will get the best care and who I am most comfortable with!

my current doctor is Dr. Lewis Rosenberg.. out of Bethpage.
he is affiliated with Winthrop , Plainview, and Manhasset.. so DONT go to him..lol

Switching Doctors with my last pg was the BEST decision I ever made. I have my wonderful DS because I did, if I did not switch I would have lost another baby. I think you should go to you sister's doc and let him help you. You never know maybe her can recommend a great doc closer to home for you. This is a grreat thing that your sis talked about you. I think you should definitley go with your gut, which it seems like your gut is telling you that your doc needs to be replaced. Good Luck, you are in my prayers. I hope you get answers.....

ABSOLUTELY 100000000% worth it. This man actually UNDERSTANDS your body and the difficulties that you may have inherited. If a 45 minute drive could save your future baby, would you do it? HECK YES YOU WOULD!! I hope you get pregnant SOON and come back to the Pregnancy board. I will be waiting for you on the Parenting board too!!!

I would 100% go see this doctor. If you feel after your consult, that you want to switch-- that's another story. But being treated correctly is your #1 priority-- I don;t think the 45 mins is a big deal.

He delivered DD back in 01!
I had changed because he changed practices and when she moved OOS, I asked my MIL (nurse in the community for over 40 years and 5 of that in the Maternity ward in St Catherines) and she HIGHLY recommended him!!!

Deanna, you should change doctors. When I was 35 weeks pg with DD I moved over an hour away from my OB (who I'd had for years). Here it is, another year later, and I am STILL driving an hour to see her. I just feel that no matter how far, I trust her with my life- so the gas and time are totally worth it.
