We got married a few days after our dating anniversary, but no, we don't celebrate that date anymore, just our wedding anniversary.

Yes, we do!! We both see it as a very important day--the day of our first date.
As a matter of fact, tomorrow is our 1st anniversary, we will have been together for 11 years!!!!!

we did end up going out to eat for our anniversary which was nice but his mom kept giving me such a hard time saying it wasnt a real anniversary. if it wasn't for that day, we wouldn't have been married so i don't get how it's a fake anniversary. on top of that, he proposed to me on our 4 year anniversary. so that day holds 2 important events in my life :-/ i think it's more important than my wedding date. in reality, for me at least, marriage is just a piece of paper. things never changed after that. it was the journey of getting to here that's the most important part.
