attn: married people
do you still celebrate your "first" anniversary? on sunday it will be 7 years since DH and i first started dating. he thinks that since we are married, we don't celebrate that anymore (not saying like get each other fancy gifts or anything, just do something together whether it be go out to eat or go on a date) i think differently. what about you?

We really don't anymore. Last year, I think I may have mentioned it, this year I think I even forgot about it until a few days later. But we were never really big on celebrating our dating anniversary to begin with.
It just seems like our wedding anniverary means more now.

No but honestly, we're really not the anniversary type of couple. We never celebrated our anniversary until we got married and at that we don't do very much at all. Maybe just go out to dinner or cook a fancy dinner and hang.

plus we were together for 6 years before getting married..... so it was an important date for us for a long time.

yes b/c we got married on our 5 year dating anniversary - we just say it's been 7 yrs together, 2 married.. there's no way he'll forget our anniversary...lol

We never did. We might remind each other on the day we met, but neither one of us could tell you when we officially "started dating." It kinda just happened.

i actually made a comment this year to DH and said we forgot to even acknowledge it this year! The thing is though that our "dating anniversary" is also my birthday so it was overshadowed a lot of times

We used to by going to dinner- We have been married 5 yrs and know each other almost 10 yrs. My MIL died on this day 3 yrs ago, we no longer do anything.
