Reading the update, I am so sorry.
I lost my mom to cancer 12 years ago and know how heartbreaking it is.
My mom was terminal and had she not kept that from me, I would have encouraged her to accept quality of life over quantity. She suffered with the chemo treatments that were only meant to be palliative.
As frightening as death seems, it is rather peaceful.
Dad and I were with my mom when she died at home. I had given her extra pain medication that day to make her more comfortable. My mom could still hear, we played her favorite music and dad, I and the cat just sat with her, holding her until she died.

I am so incredibly sorry - similar thing happened to my FIL. he got liver cancer from agent orange and was not a candidate for a transplant as he also had cirrhosis :( - sending you love and strength

both my fil and dad died of cancer, my dad's death was similar to your mom's - he was peaceful in hospice with us all around him. I do not think he suffered at all which is my ONE saving grace in the whole situation. My FIL had a rougher road which I will not get into here. :( - cancer sucks !!!!

Thank you all so much. I'll keep you posted after we get all the tests done. She moved back to MI after my step-father passed and we live in Louisville KY. This distance is hard and she goes back tomorrow. I really appreciate all the prayers and encouragement. I just keep thinking 1% isn't good at all but it's still a chance. People did have this and it be nothing or that wouldn't leave room for error right?!?! Here's hoping it's nothing or a benign lump or toughening of tissue.
