Anyone know what fruit this is?
I saw it growing on a tree in my backyard. they're the size of a crab apple but the shape of a pear. they're been falling to the ground and i found my dog eat one. so i'm not sure if they're harmful to him. Image Attachment(s):

it looks just like a pear but it's really small. do they come small? LOL obviously i know nothing about this since i grew up in Brooklyn

My aunt had a quince tree when I was really young. The fruit always looked green to me. I think they would turn a yellowish color when they got pretty ripe. It was a long time ago so my memory could be wrong.

It's a pear. My mom has a tree in her yard and that's what the pears look like. They will get bigger then start to get brown spots and fall to the ground.

Lol if they're good I'll eat them!
But they seem to stay small and fall and get rotten and then my dog eats them.

Looks like a pear tree to me. We had one until Sandy took it down. We never ate the fruit off of it.

If you plan on eating it you should spray the tree so they don't get worms and bugs.
