Crashing- What to buy?
My sister is due in Sept. Her registry does not have that much on it. What is something that you feel you could not live without? I was thinking of getting her a rock and play but am not sure if there is anything else I should consider.
Thanks
ETA: She has a car seat, stroller, high chair, and crib, etc on it but not a lot of other things.

The Rock N Play is a must have in my opinion and definitely a good gift to give someone.

Crashing- What to buy?
Def a rock n play. Dd slept in it until 7 weeks. I also moved it to the bathroom so I could shower
Also a baby carrier, ergo with insert.
Infant car seat. She will need that before anything else to even leave the hospital

Re: Crashing- What to buy?
Rock n play it's what I buy for every new mommy even if they don't register for it! Most used and loved newborn item.
One if the things I loved at my shower was I got a beautiful wicker hamper and it was filled with clothes for each size newborn-year and each size was tied together with ribbons. It was really beautiful and the hamper was useful.
I love personalized gifts. We got a lot of cute onesies with personalized sayings. Not sure what your sister is having but I loved all the hand made hair bows I got.
Another gift I love to give is a gift certificate for a photographer.

Rock n play is great. Adain n anais swaddle blankets are great. Some other cute things I have seen is you can get all bibs or onesies for the baby's first year for all the holidays-like 1st Christmas, 1st thanksgiving, etc.

Re: Crashing- What to buy?
I used the 4moms mamaroo and my SIL used the rockaroo instead of RNP. both our LOs liked them.
Also as pp said our Ergo has been our most used, best gift ever! DD wears it outward facing now for walks and outings. When she gets tired we just turn her around and she sleeps inward.
Also IMO a good quality diaper bag is a must. Some of the cheepos just fall apart.
