Sesame Place for under 2yo?

For those who have been to Sesame Place, would you recommend it for a 23-24 month old? I'm not even sure my dc would sit for any of the rides Chat Icon Are there enough water sports to do for their age? My dc is into Sesame St and loves all the characters. I just don't want to waste the money if there isn't much for a 2yo to do there. TIA!

Sesame Place for under 2yo?

Just got back with DS who will be 3. Absolutely not worth it. We were the about 3 1/2 hours and left. Water rides are too overwhelming for him and he freaked on the other rides. Only win was high fiving Oscar.

We went for the first time when DS was 23 mo and loved it so much we became season pass holders. They had a promo you could roll that days ticket into a pass for the rest of the year and the following year. If we planned to go one more time it would be worth it. He loves it! Although one of this fav things - the bed bounce - is gone now. He could spend all day in that wave pool

Edit: make sure to do a character meal!

We took DD a few weeks ago. She was 15 months at the time. She had so much fun. She loved the water rides and had a blast in the wave pool and splash castle. We went to both Elmo shows, and she danced the entire time. We did the character lunch, which was a huge hit. If I weren't 7 months pregnant, we would have bought season passes.

We just went with a 15 mo old and 3 year ols they all loved it!!! Obviously the 3 year olds got more out of it but my 15 mo old was able to do a lot. We went on a weekday before school was out so there was no lines. I couldn't imagine going on a weekend in the summer.

If you plan on only going there once I would wait he'll get more out of it a little older especially if he like water rides. But if you went now he would still like it.

Yes it's great for that age! My dd was only 13 months last summer and had a blast! There is a lot to do especially if they like the water.

yes definitely! We took my DS at 21 months. He loved meeting all of the characters (we did the breakfast with Elmo and Friends), and there were some rides in Cookie's monster land he could ride, also the splash pools. There are also shows.

So funny, how kids are different. My 15-month old was not overwhelmed. He doesn't like getting splashed by water. My dh and I were having an amazing time because it was family bonding, but I think my son would have had the same fun at the park down the street from our home.

ITA. My niece & nephew loved it... I thought it was a waste of a road trip.

Re: Sesame Place for under 2yo?

My girls are 20 mo. We did 3 rides that were ok for them. One DD wasn't a fan of any really. They liked the elmo musical and taking pics with elmo and getting toys in the gift shop. Oh and the little play area behind Oscars ride. It rained so no characters were out except in the photo area. DH didn't want to do water stuff or even the wading pool for small kids.

I totally agree with you. While my DD was in absolute heaven, I know other kids would not necessarily enjoy it the way she did. During the character lunch, half the kids were crying and hiding. My DD was chasing the characters, trying to hug and kiss them.

I think it's very subjective. We go once every year and my two DS who are now 3 and 4 have loved it each year. They loved it ever since they were steady on their feet. Now at 3 my younger one goes on like 80% of the attractions. I think the 2-6 year old bracket is really who it is made for.
