? TD Bank: Fees
Has anyone noticed them charging more fees again?
I just reviewed my account and saw that I was charged a $14.00 maintenance fee in checking a few days ago.
My account has not dipped below $100 which I thought was what you needed to keep in checking to avoid the fee.
I sent them an email.
The site is also kind of hard to navigate to figure out what it might be a charge for.
I've had issues with them in the past but I thought they were finally getting it together.

It says $14 is the maintenance fee if you don't do paper statements and your balance dips below $100 - even if it's only for less than a day or less than a $1 they charge you.
I usually call them to dispute instead of emailing. I've been able to get them reversed and have only spoken to an obnoxious person 1x.
It annoys me since we have our two checking accounts (DH and I have separate) and the kids savings - that they don't look at the total of the related accounts - like DH could have $1000 and I have $99 and they still charge the stupid fee!

WORD. They have really gotten to be terrible. ATM fees are outrageous, too. No ATM fees was half the reason I started banking with them!

Re: ? TD Bank: Fees
I received a post card a while back regarding a class action suit against them due to their fees and business practices.

They say that if you go below $100 on their system you get charged that fee. Sometimes you can't even see it.

I'm getting peeved with them too thinking of switching. The fees for ATMs are crazy. So now they charge me plus the ATM charges me. I have had enough!

Call the 1800 number and ask for a refund . I have an account for 10 years and never overdraw and have a decent sized savings so thy refunded me no problem.
