When did you receive Birth Certificate in mail?
DS will be 4 weeks on Thursday. How long did it take to get LO's birth certificate in the mail?
Work needs it (as well as DHs insurance) and I don't have it yet. My school secretary said I could get a letter from hospital verifying birth.. Has anyone done that? Who would I call?

My insurance company needed a copy of it to add him and I remember them rejecting all the pediatrician bills at first since it took a while. I want to say it was a month or maybe a few days more than that. I bet you'll get it by the end of the week. The pediatrician just had to resubmit everything again once my insurance got it on file.

Yes, I had the social security card within a week and the birth certificate within two.

yep same thing happened to me. All of my ds's bills were denied. Everything had to be resubmittted it was a real P I T A!!! the birth certificate came in 3 weeks BUT there was an error on it so i needed to have it corrected.

Okay thanks I left message with hospital birth cert dept and someone called me back. She said it went out with the most recent batch. So I hope I get it soon to send to everyone who needs a copy!

I had my DD in July and it took about a month or so and the SS card too came a couple days after ~ My hubby needed it to add DD to our insurance. (Had DD in Stony Brook if that matters)
My son I had in 2008 I received Birth Cert & SS card in a week. (had DS in St. Charles)

Ours took A LONG TIME For the twins. If you can believe maybe 2 months. We found out that the Dr needed to sign off on births in order for it to be processed. She never signed until december. My twins born 10/28
