Re: how much time off will your DH be taking after LO is born?

My husband took two weeks. His job allowed him to use his banked sick days so he could still keep his vacation time.

With DD he took about a week and a half.

This time since I will be scheduled we are thinking of having him take 2 weeks.

I'm thinking about a week. I am going to have so much help in the beginning and my parents and in laws coming and going so I dont think it should be too big a deal for him to only take a week. As long as he can take off from traveling for a few weeks to a month after baby is born I'll be happy, he travels a few times a month for work and I want him to be home more that first month.

Probably just the day to pick us up from the hospital. DH and FIL work for themselves so its really difficult for him to take off.

Re: how much time off will your DH be taking after LO is born?

DH will be taking off a couple of days after our LO is born.. the days will depend on how my delivery goes and if i need him to stay with me, bc my mother plans on taking off a week from work as well after the baby is here & his mother does not work, so I will have plenty of help.

he put in for 2 weeks vacation for oct/nov.. i told him not to schedule it too close to my due date bc we dont know how early or late i will go & he can always use his banked sick time for those days after the delivery

No time, He'll be off when I'm in the hospital having our baby and probably until I get out of the hospital. After that he has to go back to work.

With dc#1, dh took 1 week off & I was really overwhelmed when he went back to work. With dc#2, dh took 2 weeks & it saved my sanity. If we have a 3rd dc, I wll beg him to take 2 weeks again.
