I dont panic but I do hate losing my breath
I just make sure I slow down and take deeper breaths... I can't race around or walk up a flight of stairs without pausing anymore.

I try to take deeper longer breaths that fill my abdomen up, not my chest. You have to visualize it so it (for me) takes longer and you calm down. I think it takes in more air than if you chest breathe.

This happens to me quite often and at first it was really scary because it started happening out of the blue, not slowly. I don't have any real advice but just keep reminding yourself that it's the baby pressing up. Hope this gets easier for you soon.

I don't, but I have asthma so unfortunately I'm used to it. The other posters gave good advice - since it's just the baby pressing up on you there's no reason to panic. Just sit or slow down and take it easy. I found that sitting straight up w/good posture would alleviate some of the pg-related tightness. Close your eyes & take some deep cleansing breaths...

Prenatal yoga taught me how to breathe more deeply and lengthen chest space, so that helps a lot. Maybe you can get in for a prenatal yoga class or get a DVD?
