Heartburn Myth
Any truth to having a baby with a full head of hair and heartburn?
My heartburn is so bad this time around!!!

My friend just had a baby with more hair than ME...and she had terrible heartburn the whole pregnancy. So I say YES! Sorry you're dealing with that....but babies with hair are so cute too!!

My DD was born with A LOT of hair but my heartburn wasn't too bad. My SIL, who was pregnant same time as me, had terrible heartburn and her daughter came out with little hair. So who knows!

my dd was born with a ton of hair. my heartburn was bad at times but at other times (for several months straight actually) i had no heartburn at all.

I actually read something during my first pregnancy explaining that this isn't a myth. Apparently, the same hormone that causes hair growth can also cause heartburn. So it's not just another silly pregnancy myth, there's actually science behind it! It doesn't mean that everyone who has babies with lots of hair had heartburn, because of course, every pregnant woman's body is different and handles the hormones differently. For me, it was absolutely true. My first son was born with a full head of dark hair and I had wicked heartburn! My second is a little baldy, with only some hair in the back, and I only had a touch of heartburn this time.

For me no. My heartburn was so bad with DD I swore I was going to give birth to a werewolf. She came out with practically nothing and at 18 months still doesn't have enough hair to hold a clip!
My SIL had no heartburn and my neice had a full head of hair, she could hold a clip from minute number 1!!

well with all this suffering, i kind of hope she comes out with a full head of hair...i think babies born with a lot of hair are sooooo cute!
My DS didn't have to much hair, but i didn't have heartburn...
We shall see!

In my case it was true. I had horrible HB from day one and my DS had a full head of hair....he is losing it now but I would have been shocked if he was bald at birth.

I have AWFUL heartburn this time. My throat is always burning! I fully expect a baby with hair
I had heartburn with DS and he had hair, but not a full head of it. My heartburn this time is worse though.

I had some heartburn- but not much. Only needed one bottle of tums the whole pregnancy. But my son was born with a full head of hair!! I think it's genetics.
A friend had terrible HB and her babes had no hair!

I believe it. I have 2 siblings...my mom said only with me did she have horrible heartburn and I had a full head of hair..Im not talking about fuzz I mean LOTS OF HAIR! lol. My brother and sister were bald lol. My SIL says the same thing...her first daughter she had no heartburn..she came out a baldy. 2nd daughter horrible heartburn, came out with a full head of hair. Ive had horrible heartburn very early on in this pregnancy and still do so Im curious to see what my  comes out with. I wouldnt be surprised if he comes out with a lot of hair since I have a lot of hair (use to go pass my butt) and DH also has a lot of hair.

I say "no". No heartburn at all with DS- he had a full head of hair. No heartburn this time either- we've seen hair at 2 of her sonos. (i'm 37 wks right now.)

My heartburn was AWFUL with DS#1 and boy was he a hairy guy!!! Full head of hair and all over him back, butt, arms LOL!
This time around I had a few heartburn dealings....but not too many so we shall see!
