After 17 hours of labor....Updated with pics
Adrianna is here!!!!! I gave birth on January 19th. The night before I posted on here asking if I was close bc I was already 3 cms dilated. Well, I went to sleep and woke up at 4:30 with contractions. We got to the hospital around 9:30 am and I was given an epidural a short time after. I was in soooo much pain that I was begging and yelling for it. After a few hours, they broke my water and I quickly dilated to 10 cms. I found the pushing to be very difficult. It took me close to two hours! I developed a fever right before pushing so she had to go straight to the NICU. It was the most unbelievable feeling to see the baby I have been carrying for all of these months in person. I LOVE feeling her little legs kicking me in person! I could go on and on talking about it. I cannot stop staring at my beautiful baby. She was 8 lbs exactly and 20 inches. Quick review of LIJ: They were great! I was so scared and in so much pain and they were very patient and helpful. The nurses were all wonderful and my stay was very positive. In the beginning I was a little disappointed I missed the new building by only a week but once I was in the moment it really didn't matter. The rooms were fine and quite honestly the last thing I was thinking about was how pretty or not the room looked. I am so happy to be a mommy  Image Attachment(s):
